Yells at his nurses. Rude to patients
He just shouldnt be a doctor. Of all the doctors I've seen he's the worst. I personally witnessed him yelling at and berating his nurse in front of me. Imagine how he acts behind closed doors.Do not expect any beside manner from this guy at all. His nurses deserve medals of honor or tolerating his incompetence.

"I came to Dr.Sommerkamp nearly 8 years ago, and he suspected growth plate pain and told me to come back in 6 months. 6 months of chronic pain later, I came back and he looked at x-rays and said they were all closed up. When I told him there was no change in my condition he brushed it off and sent me to physical therapy (without having any diagnosed problem with my hand.) The physical therapy further aggravated my pain, and I left literally worse off than I started. I've been dealing with this unknown hand pain for years now. He sure took our money, but offered no wisdom, no diagnosis, and no solutions. He made me feel like just a task on a list to check off. My experience with Dr.Sommerkamp was discouraging and literally left me afraid to return to the Dr. until the last few months."

This rating needs a "minus" star. After spending weeks waiting for an appointment, sending him my information from an elbow surgery this "specialist" questions me via his nurse while I can hear him discussing my hand and elbow. The nurse returns and says I guess you can hear through the walls but the "dr" wants you to know he can only treat from here to here...indicating tips of fingers to wrist. So apparently this so called expert reviewed my charts prior to my appointment - yeah right.
