Dissappointing
Makes decisions based on his profit motive and perscribes only what his insurance allows him to perscribe. Do no harm out the window.

Dermatology visit.
Excellent and precise diagnosis of a growth on my leg which he effectively treated. I was more than pleased with his medical expertise and would highly recommend him . He was at all times professional while engaging in conversation to put me at ease. A very skilled dermatologist!

Would not recommend him at all.
My brother who is 80 has a mental health issue and has been wonderfully treated by all other doctors at UMASS. He tried to tell Dr Rosenfeld his dermatology concerns that worried him, but the doctor cut him off, did not let him finish. My brother had notes in his hand to ask questions, but the doctor took the notes from his hands, (without asking for the notes) read them (supposedly), and returned the notes without saying a word. This is rude and demeaning!! Inexcusable!! My brother had been seeing Dr Snook, who I believe was Chief or Head of the Dermatology Dept. at UMass. before he retired for a fairly long time, and he always treated him with respect. This doctor needs a lot of sensitivity training about dealing with people who are mentally challenged. But given his haughty demeanor, I wouldn't be surprised if he shows insensitivity to other patients as well. It is not surprising that Dr. Rosenfeld rates 2.8 out of 5.0. Concerned sisters. We started our visit by explaining my wife had a chronic decade old skin problem that was so bad that it was causing quality of life issues, hours of misery, tears, loss of sleep, and wishes for death. A nurse practitioner was not able to help. This doctor started off by looking and sounding competent and ordered blood tests. We asked when we should return and he answered that the blood tests need to be examined first. The blood test results have been available for weeks now and we have not heard anything from this doctor. Not a word. And this kind of treatment is becoming more and more common nowadays. Worst doctor we've ever encountered.

Arrogant, condescending, does not listen. His responses to what I told him made absolutely no sense. Refused to culture my baby daughter because he didn’t find reason to although she had a raging rash that has not responded to anything. Barely examined her, blew off my concerns and reasoning. Told me to continue applying something that was making it worse. Implied because I’m a first time mom that I didn’t know what I was talking about. He told me to just to start using the same otc cream that I have been which has not been working and that it was an antifungal which it’s not. I left in tears and disbelief they I was treated this way. Nobody deserves to be treated this way. He appeared to be annoyed at the fact that my daughter was crying. One shouldn’t assume a patient or parent is uneducated or is not in healthcare themselves. No Dr. should treat their patients this way.

Dr. Rosenfeld is a doctor with amazing skills. He has the ability to take just one look and quickly, with confidence and without hesitation, make an accurate diagnosis. He takes the time to explain the condition, shows empathy and has a good sense of humor. I was able to get an appointment very quickly.

My husband went to Dr. Rosenfeld in November to have a spot on his head checked. He was very professional and gave him a full exam. He removed the spot and suggested treatment that has really helped his winter eczema. My sister has seen him with great results after seeing several other doctors for the same problem. My brother in law recently went, good thing. He found 2 basel cell that are being removed.. If you're looking for warm fuzzys don't go. If you want a good skin doc I Recommend.

I had an appt. with this dermatologist and presented with a sensitive problem. He treated me with total disregard for my issue. He never even examined me and was quite rude. I left angry, hurt and in total disbelief. I would not recommend him to anyone for any reason!
