Awful
Zero empathy, extremely rude, dismissive, defensive when he was asked questions waited to be rude until nurse was out of the room. Don't see him alone if you must go, go with a family member or ask to record the visit for your notes.

Do not trust!
I visited Dr.Rizzo in November 2022, due to pins and needles pain in my foot. He did not even look at my MRI and just asked some questions and then told me you have central sensitization which you will never recover from and after that he gave me a pamphlet that they offer in Mayo that you have to participate in for two weeks, they actually teach you how to cope with pain for rest of your life. My life got shattered after that diagnosis and I tried everything. Finally, I went overseers and there they figured out my pain is actually from nerve entrapment in my foot and they fixed it. My point is that please do not trust big names like Mayo. Take a lead of your own health and find solution. It is a shame from world known hospital that I received such a diagnosis!

Extremely Helpful, caring and a blessing to me.
I have seen Dr. Thomas Rizzo this past year after suffering, many years with severe osteoarthritis, a plate in my neck, and additional disc problems in my neck and lumbar. Also advised I need reversed shoulder joint replacements in both shoulders. I have been putting off the operations for several years since I have been going through several heart operations at this time. Go to, “Mayo Clinic 3 D Model Joe Bitter”. The pain was getting unbearable in my neck and shoulders so I reached out to Dr. Thomas Rizzo. He set me up with therapy before going through more operations. Now the pains are gone in my neck and shoulders and occasionally I do a little bit at home therapy and everything is great. I recently went back to see Dr. Rizzo because I had such severe pains in my hands and wrist. I could hardly hold a pen to sign my name. More therapy and now I almost have no pain anywhere. Dr. Rizzo is another Blessing to me. Because of him I am enjoying life to the fullest.

Dr. Thomas D. Rizzo was shockingly unhelpful. It is my opinion that he should be reprimanded for his treatment of me as his patient. Specifically and most significant was his disregard of my requests for mental healthcare assistance as it relates to my chronic pain condition. His disregard for my explicitly clear statements (written and oral) that I am suffering from suicidal thoughts and anxiety shows that he simply does not care or chooses not to address patient's concerns. My office visit today to receive the results of my test was actually Dr. Rizzo indicating that I do not have a condition of a significance of which the Mayo Clinic should be concerned. I was told there was a Pain Management book available "downstairs" which may have some useful things for me to consider. Dr. Rizzo also stated I could get this book on Amazon for a third of the price.
