No longer Feel My Leg
Initially, I would have agreed whole-heartedly with the other reviewers. When I met Dr Quinn, he was personable and likeable, answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable. He gave me an epidural and three nerve blocks for a partial knee replacement. When I was in the recovery room, I still had no feeling in my lower leg but was assured that was normal. When I went to my surgeon for post op visits, I was told not to worry about it, it can take time for the nerves to come back. After 6 months, I was very concerned. Then 7 months still no feeling. After 8 months, the nerve responses in my leg were tested. There is no electrical activity in the saphenous nerve - one of the three nerves that received the blocking agent. Its now been over a year. The electrical responses are not diminished. They just do not exist anymore. The neurologist says I will probably never feel my lower leg again. Do with this information what you will if Dr Quinn is your anesthesiologist.
