I started seeing Dr. Parrott several years ago, and found him to be one of the most personable and compassionate doctors I've ever encountered. Even when telling you to make changes in your life-style, he never came across as judgmental, but rather as a knowledgeable and very caring friend. By far, he was the easiest physician to talk to that I've met, and I've seen a lot of doctors in my lifetime. To me, it seemed that you were never just his 2:00pm appointment (or whatever time), but a person, and one he really cared about as well. At the time of this writing, he has retired, so on the face of it there's no real reason for a review, but I just wanted to put in writing how much I'll miss this fine doctor, and to express my hopes for the rest of his life to be filled with joy. Thank you, Dr. Parrott, I wish you all the best.

Dr. Parrott has been my savior. I have been going to Rockbridge Family Medicine since 1988. I am afraid he is not practicing anymore. I was called a week before my appt. on March 2. I was told he would not be available for a few months and I should go to a pain clinic. they dropped me like a hot potato. I have been in misery since I needed a refill for my chronic pain meds. I hope Dr. Parrott is ok. They will not tell me anything.

Codes on my bill were incorrect. Coded for treatment.I was not treated for anything. I merely went for a physical and renewal of my current medications.

My primary screening was done by a residency student. The residency student found a separate issue. I was charged for two separate visits rather than one visit for my wellness exam even though I never left the room. I specifically asked Dr. Parrott and his staff if everything would be 100% covered as my physical, they said yes! 2 weeks later I received a bill for a 2nd visit. This was done without me knowing or providing consent on how the exam would be billed to insurance. They're deceitful!

Dr. Parrott is a very knowlegable physican with an easy going demeanor and a wonderful bedside manner. He communicates very well and knows what he is talking about. While he may be busy he doesn't appear hurried. He provides information in clear and cogent manner. I wouldn't trade his level of care for anything
