Would not answer all questions. Maintained a poor attitude. Was worse after surgery. Follow up was trouble. Had to go to different knee specialist to get proper treatment.

Wrist injury
Saw his NP on my first visit who was very nice and wrote a referral for an MRI. When I returned to review the MRI results with Dr. Parent he came into the patient room, said I didn't need surgery (while he was walking into the room, he had other patients in other rooms). He then said matter of factly 4-6 months to heal. It had already been over two months since the injury. When he saw that I was unhappy with his prognosis, he offered to inject my wrist with cortisone. I agreed. He began to press my wrist for pain. Instead of reviewing the MRI to see exactly where the injury was, he injected where I said 'yes that hurts'. The wrist didn't heel. I saw a different hand specialist 10 weeks later, who reviewed the imaging, showed me where the injury was, withdrew fluid and injected the injury. With PT, the wrist was completely heeled within three weeks. I lost approximately ten weeks of activity thx to Dr. P.

Dr. Parent is an exceptional doctor! I broke my wrist during COVID and he and his nurse got me in right away and had my surgery scheduled and performed in no time! We had to schedule another surgery to remove the plate in my arm, and both went as smooth as possible! My recovery was short and nearly three years later I am pain free and playing tennis every day!

Find another orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Parent is dismissive, passive aggressive, condescending, and insensitive. He didn't answer any questions directly and had a snarky response to everything my grandmother wanted to know. He came into the visit with no apparent knowledge of their prior encounters—he treated her like a number, not a patient. His practice is sloppy. When we were waiting for him in the treatment room, we could hear the other visits happening because the doors are open and Dr. Parent flits around talking loudly. He doesn't appear to be much of a surgeon—my grandmother's pain is no better than it was six weeks ago, when a very different version of Dr. Parent (attentive, caring) sold us a bill of goods about how the surgery would definitely work—but his biggest incompetence is his bedside manner. We all deserve better physicians than this.

Do not use this Doctor, they don't care about their patients and care more about making money. They refused to submit a prior authorization request to the insurance company and instead wanted us to pay the full amount without insurance. And when I told them couldn't bend down to feed my pet, they said to find someone else in the house to feed them, how rude and uncaring.

It was suggested by my PCP to try Dr Parent. When I called for an appointment and asked about their COVID-19 protocol and if they wear masks etc - I was told by the person "No, we are not sick". This is unacceptable and I'm surprised they are allowed to practice. Totally irresponsible. I lodged a concern to MPG whom they are part of but never heard back.

Bad! All office doors are left open, HIPPA violation. Next, during this COVID period, no one wears gloves or masks and to top it off Dr Parent walks into see me and coughs. Then he never answered one of my 8 questions, terrible experience.

For many years I had postponed knee replacement. I had narrowed my search to 2 surgeons and two days before committing 3 people in a social setting said they had used Dr. PARENT. One very lage man had Dr. Parent do a total knee replacement just 3 weeks prior and was walking without any assistance and very very little pain. He was the first of 3 people that day to refer Dr. Parent. Being somewhat of a mechanic I knew a renound hand surgen would be meticulous so a knee should be a piece of cake. I had watched several procedures on YouTube and understood the procedure ! I met Dr. Parent within a week and set the surgery without reservation. I am so happy. I was walking without assistance day 18 and my knee bend was 120+ degrees in 20 days. I am so happy. Call him and don't look back. You will be glad you did. John .
