I saw Dr. Oetting for cataracts. I was referred to him by my ophthalmologist in Cedar Rapids because I had RK done many years before. He was friendly, thorough and skilled. He did my left eye with topical anesthesia, quickly and with excellent results. He did my right eye a couple years later. He responds to questions, even when I have emailed questions. I couldn't ask for more from an ophthalmologist.

Dr. Oetting really took the time to explain my options very clearly. He was extremely competent at the procedure. He also showed a lot of caring about the outcome, even gave me his email address to follow up a few days later to make sure I was doing well. His office also followed up to see how I was doing and was very responsive to a potential complication (which turned out to be no problem after all, but they saw me right away just to be sure.)
