While I tend to be a very healthy individual, unfortunately, I am accident prone and have been under Dr. Merchant's care several times. Both he and his staff have taken care of each time with three major surgeries to my shoulders (the last being a complicated reverse shoulder replacement) and my recent hip replacement procedure. If anything, the care and service provided over the past ten years has increased and I am very appreciative of having a doctor and staff with the expertise they have provided. The follow up is phenomenal as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Merchant and his group for any major orthopedic need. David Brown

Based on reviews I chose Dr. Merchant. My knee had begun to be a problem. I felt he would be best to see me though every progression. Every option was laid out during the year and a half of the non surgical. When the decision was made to undergo knee replacement surgery I felt the entire office was part of the team. While hospitalized post surgery I became aware of how well he was respected by the staff at Sutter. I highly recommend Dr. Merchant and his team.
