With Dr. Kunelis, it really is ALL ABOUT YOU!
My wife has been in Dr. Kunelis' care for years with excellent results. He recently diagnosed me with severe sleep apnea and prescribed a CPAP machine. Although I struggled at first, I have made the machine part of my daily nighttime routine. I feel better than I have in years with no daytime sleepiness and new energy to exercise and more.Dr. Kunelis brings extraordinary insights to every visit as well as genuine compassion and caring, but his most endearing quality is his fabulous sense of humor and willingness to look at the medical and insurance system with his eyes wide open. We never leave his office without great ideas to improve our health and a handful of moments of pure laughter and joy.If you have pulmonary issues, I can't imagine finding a better doctor or a better person to provide your care.

Second time to review.
Dr. Kunelis is the best pulmonary doctor. I wish he could be my PCP. He really cares and is genuinely concerned for my health. He researches in an effort to find the best medication/any medication to help my pulmonary problems, coupled with allergies, and CHF. He wants to hear and work with my other doctors/specialists. Highly intelligent in the field of medicine, not just pulmonary. He reads the patient portal and answers quickly. ( Most doctors don't even look at the P. Portal) He is hyper and goes 90 miles an hour but makes me feel like I am the only patient he has. He listens and answers my questions honestly. He has a sense of humor which helps. (I've seen his temper too.)

The absolute very best person/doctor ever. I say person, because although he's a genius in his field he also chats, yes, has great conversations about life in general. I'm 73 so I've had my share of doctors and, Dr. Kunelis outshines them all. And NO, I'm not related nor do i work for this wonderful doctor.

Listens, compassionate/cares
I live out of state in NM and have had a horrendous experience trying to get a caring, knowledgeable pulmonary doctor. I finally came to the conclusion I need to seek care elsewhere. Dr. Kunelis listened to me, explained various methods of treatments and WANTED to help me. It was so refreshing to have a doctor who listens and cares! I highly recommend Dr. Kunelis!

My husband who is a 100% disabled vet, has been going to dr for 8 years. First in avondale then on to glendale. He is very enjoyable and very thorough. Is aware of conditions and does quick testing to make sure nothing else is going on. Best pulmonologist we've ever been to.
