Surgery for Achilles Tendon
I had surgery with Dr. King October 2023 and had a positive experience. He was respectful, up to date on new procedures and did an excellent job. His staff is efficient and timely. Highly recommend!

Skilled and kind
Dr. King explained the procedure in detail. He was kind, caring and is very skilled in surgery. The entire staff at UK HealthCare were stellar. My foot is healing ahead of schedule. I couldn’t be happier about my experience with Dr. King.

I have been Dr. Kings patient for 13 years. Prior to seeing him other doctors recommended amputation of the foot. Dr. King saved the foot. There was some amputation of toes and a bone but I am still walking. This man does great with diabetic feet, if anyone can save ulcers or work with a foot, it is him. Aside from the skills he uses up to date technology and always uses the most current equipment and practices. Now to him as a person. Friendly, kind, listens, always fits me in and works with me. He always asks about me as a person and I can tell he cares and offers the best services. I would recommend him to anyone to do anything to the foot. He is the best and I would follow him anywhere. I was shocked by the older reviews of his attitude. He has a fabulous attitude, there may situations you don’t want to hear but a good doctor always tells the truth.

I was referred to Dr King many years ago by another excellent podiatrist because the procedure I required was rare and she, after many years of experience, had never done this procedure. My heal was hollow and at risk of fracturing. It was risky because of the location of the nerve which was lying on top of the incision site. He was meticulous in follow up care. My heal is still doing well. I would recommend him highly. In fact I intend to see him soon for a great toe bunion and hammer toe.

The one star review above says it all. He's condescending, heartless, and honestly exudes the "I really don't care attitude". I would not recommend this person operate on a cadaver. Not sure what Yale did for him other than boost his resume; as his skills are not Ivy League. He was also disclosing his HR decision on another POD Doc whom is very good. That should not be any business of the patient - so that comment he made should have never came up. Useless, and unprofessional.

I saw Dr King on a weekly basis at the good Sam for 4 months. I was transferred to his office. I was asked to get a referral from my UK family Dr, despite having been treated by Dr king for 5 mos. UK sent the referral to the number his office provided, but his rude nasty receptionist wanted to teach me a lesson, so after being forced to wait hr past my appt time she told me Dr king refused to see me. He is condescending arrogant and dismissive.
