Thorough and thoughtful problem solver

I have been a patient of Dr. Kelly since 2015. I am very happy that he is a graduate of Johns Hopkins U Medical School, one of the very best in the country. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional. I always feel that I am in good hands. However, if you are looking for a doctor who is simply going to tell you what to do without consulting with you, Dr. K is not for you. He will explain things to you and give you options. If you're uncomfortable making a choice from among the options given, you can ask for his assistance in making a decision. If you're looking for a really touchy-feely, joke-around kind of doctor, again, Dr. K is not for you. He's serious and doesn't miss a beat. Yes, it's true he spends a lot of time looking at his computer, but that's where your records and test results are. Also, if you're Medicare age (like me) he has to answer all those darn Medicare questions online. I never worry about getting good medical/healthcare from Dr. K.

I found Dr. Kelly's office to be well run and the staff knowledgeable and very helpful. Dr. Kelly is an excellent doctor. He always does a thorough exam and takes time to listen to me and to answer questions that I might have. He is very professional and confidence-inspiring.

I have been seeing doctor Kelly for six years since moving to Delaware. He listens carefully to what I have concerns with as an aging 76 year old patient. He takes immediate action with my concerns through referrals to specialists and testing. I have been extremely pleased with his practice.

Because he asked all the right questions and scheduled me for all the right tests, a very serious stomach tumor was caught early. None of my previous doctors had ever thought to have me tested. I owe him a great deal. He is thorough and professional always. Plus, his staff is friendly and accommodating.

I have been a patient for 3 years. Let me say, my family is happy with Dr. Kelly and I have given it a chance but I have to leave the practice. By the way his Nurse Practitioner is wonderful. Dr. Kelly walks in the room, there is no acknowledgement of what I say. He doesn’t look at me. He is mostly fixated on his laptop. I say something to him about a symptom and there is NO response, nothing. No discussion other than what he reads off the laptop. It is as if I’m not there sometimes. I feel the visit is rushed and at the end he has this strange habit of getting up and leaving the room. I don’t know if I am suppose to follow him or sit there. I have learned that is my cue to collect my jacket and go see the medical tech at the window . I have never had a doctor that didn’t at least sit down and have a brief discussion with me. The office staff and nurse are great.

We were one of Dr. Kelly's first patients after he opened his office and have been fortunate to be part of his constantly growing practice along with his equally strong clinical knowledge. His practical approach, coming from years as a nurse before getting his M.D., he uses data and reductive methods to help your health. He is busy but keeps a timely practice. He is super cautious and will not rush a diagnosis, and he is quick to refer you to the right specialist when needed. I am very comfortable with his mannerisms of being respectfully direct and questioning with depth- to me that is the thoroughness I want from someone who is responsible with my health. I would trust him completely in any emergency.

Do not go to this Dr. if you want a pleasant experience. Dr. Kelly does not take time to listen. He is arrogant with his statements and very unprofessional. His visits are controlled by where he is in the computer profile. He cannot go from one subject to another that does not follow the computer dialect. He will hold his finger up to silence you if he is not on the subject you are discussing on the computer.

Dr. Kelly is my savior. I have never had a doctor care so much about the welfare of his patients as this man. I have also truly admired him for his return calls and virtual visits on any holidays, weekends etc. This is a very special doctor and a very special man. I can truly say I am not certain I would be alive if it were not for him. During the high point of Covid he was there for me with great advice and direction. Doctor Kelly has also directed me to very talented specialist when I needed them and then followed up with me when he did not have to do this. I am blessed to have him to care for both my wife and I. My wife would certainly 100% agree with every statement I have made in this review. I believe Dr. Kelly should be the benchmark for all physicians in this troubled time of human health. I cannot thank him and his fine staff enough!

Nightmare experience, office manager not helpful. Office policies do no support the use of our tricare insurance. Claims to support military but completely unwilling to work with the primary military insurance policies. Not willing to help with our needs even on a one time basis.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kelly for a very long time. I have found, that through the years treating me, that he truly cares about my physical health and general well being. He is kind and thoughtful. I have never felt rushed while with him. My experience is, when with him, he wants to know the real you. Good bad and ugly, so he can help. When it comes to discussing my health, Dr. Kelly's seriousness, frankness and candor is refreshing and appreciated. He is very encouraging to make good choices for a healthy life. I never feel judged. I know I could speak to him about anything. Dr. Kelly has treated me over the years from common aches and ailments to even, as of last October, a more serious condition I developed. I know that if It hadn't been for his meticulous methodology, I could have been in real medical peril. Dr. Kelly's discovery, lead him to promptly set off a chain of events that would lead to almost a year of treatment and I know he ultimately potentially saved my life.

I have been fortunate to have Dr. Kelly as my doctor for the last 7 years. He is engaged with his patients, methodical in his approach and knows the larger medical community,enabling great recommendations. He genuinely cares about those in his care as I have experienced and seen with others I know he is treating. Thank you for being here Dr. Kelly!.

Dr Kelly is awesome. He is incredibly observant ,incredibly smart and incredibly diligent in taking care of your health.I can not recommend him highly enough

Dr. Kelly is highly competent and professional. He has an exceptional level of technical skill and medical knowledge, and is very caring and compassionate. He has been our family physician for two years and when we were ill or having a medical issue he has taken his personal time to call us at home, after normal business hours, to check in and see how we were doing. He always takes time during appointments to explain diagnosis and answer questions. We feel blessed to be in his care.

Moved into the area a year ago and found Dr. Kelly to be a excellent professional, who will spend the necessary amount of time listening, evaluating and recommending care options. He has always provided me with excellent referrals when appropriate. During the past year, Dr. Kelly has developed a comprehensive plan to improve my overall health. He is a very caring individual who always has my best interests in mind.

Dr. Kelly has been my primary care physician for about three years now. He has always been professional and caring, taking the time to listen to me, answer questions, and explain things in a manner that I understand. About a year and a half ago he became very concerned about my increasing weight, and suggested a path to treatment. Now, a year and a half later, I've lost quite a lot of weight and feel fantastic. Not only is my weight down, buy my overall health is much better. Thanks!

What a great physician. I was in a bad way and even on his vacation, he called me to see if everything was ok and helped me out. All other providers were useless and unhelpful! Great practice and helpful to his patients!

I usually don't write about doctors, but in this case I must tell you how trilled I am to have selected Dr. Thomas F. Kelly, he is a man willing to spend the time with you and discuss various options, In my case I believe he may have saved my life. you see I had no indication of a heart problem, only through Dr. Kelly's insistence that I have a stress test did we discover a major problem requiring a triple bypass. My other family members are go to Dr. Kelly and are very pleased with him

I have found Dr. Kelly to be intelligent and very professional. He spends an appropriate amount of time with me and always answers my questions. I have found him very willing to have a dialogue on health care. He is always looking out for a patients overall health - ensuring that I have a dentist, dermatologist, etc.

My experience with dr Kelly was horrifying when I chose him to become my new PCP. He stopped most of my meds and changed dosages of others which caused me great distress. Upon my second (and FINAL) visit he had NO RECOLLECTION of CHANGING meds and dosages, becoming arrogant even ARGUING with me about WHERE I had gotten my blood work drawn. It all became clear when he handed me copies of "MY" lab results....with the name of a DIFFERENT PATIENT with the same last name as mine!! .
