I had a friend, and brought her to Dr. Head several times. He is strict and not real friendly, very business-like, also very transparent with you, has a hard job, giving people "hard to hear" news. He is good at his job, what else could we ask for?

Would not recommend. Was to have nerve conduction study done. Lady came in and I am assuming she was a tech. who proceeded to shock my lower extremities numerous times and then told me Dr. Head would be in to finish up. I laid on a hard table with a bad back for at least 30 minutes until he showed up and attached two electrodes to the outside of my left leg and that was it, nothing on the right leg. He was in there less than 5 minutes and got up and left with me trying to ask questions and him pretty much ignoring me. Apparently does not know the definition of bedside manner. Easy pay check and no regard for the patient, me.

I saw Dr. Head for MS. He diagnosed me actually. He was great when diagnosing because he was straightforward and honest about things. But after that first appointment, he was not good. He wouldn't listen to me when I asked about symptoms. He wouldn't give me any options with medications, even when I told him that I was very worried about side effects. The last time I saw him, he typed on his computer and wouldn't look at me. Then halfway through me talking, he interrupted me! Then when my husband started talking he stopped typing and turned his chair to look at him and gave him his full attention. So apparently if I were a male I would be given respect. If you get Dr. Head at the beginning when you are working toward a diagnosis, that's fine. But for longterm care, you better find someone else if you want to be listened to and cared about!

Dr. Head saw me twice (actually the second time he was too busy and preoccupied, so he spent all of 5 minutes with me). It was like a seeing two different people. First time, he was "ok". Then, the second time he was very rude and condescending... In his notes, he stated that because I have a pacemaker/defibrillator and he can't run the MRI he wanted, then other things to consider could be that I may be either exaggerating my symptoms, may be malingering (faking), or that I may have a mental disorder... This didn't treat my ailment, and it even messed up my insurance. What the heck????? Needless to say, I've changed neurologists but the damage is done...

If you are looking for good bedside manner this is not your guy. He has very poor listening skills, treats his patients with a great disrespect and honestly I don't think he deserves to have people under his care. Dont treat everyone like they are Doctor shopping, seeking drugs or wanting disability.. You work for your patients, not the other way around.

Dr. Head has too many patients. He denied me a months refill on a standard anti-depressant even though I had an appointment the very next month. His reasoning was that I had not been seen for a year. The date was the quickest they could schedule for me. No one mentioned that this may pose a problem with my prescription refills. My request for a refill was denied a week before Thanksgiving. I am expected to go through the Holidays suffering spontaneous crying fits and withdrawal.

Dr. Head has always been kind and concerned about my condition. He has always taken the time to listen and respond to all of my concerns. I have been a patient of Dr. Head's for over three years. Whenever I call his office the respond is within the same day. Dr. head has been a pivotal source in treating my chronic migraines.

I've seen him for years and left his office after every appointment irritated about something he said. He's very rude and has HORRIBLE bedside manner. He doesn't care about his patients as long as he gets their money!!
