Quick to Diagnose, but never saw him after.
I went to Dr. Hastetter with concerns of endometriosis. The one thing that he really has going for him is turn around time. After ruling out things like PCOS through tests, he did do a diagnostic surgery as a last resort. The diagnostic surgery was exactly that: taking some images and saying 'yep, that's endo'. I'm not sure if removal of endo is something he can do, but I wish I would have known that up front. He didn't really explain all of the ins-and-outs of a laparoscopy like other doctors have. I was put on 12 months of leuprolide acetate after my surgery, and I saw him during 1 of the 12 injections. I responded poorly to this medication, but he didn't really listen and put me on a couple of different medications like addback therapy and antidepressants to help with the side effects. Overall, if I could go back in time, I would have chosen another doctor to work with for this condition. His staff was mostly kind, and so was he.

Unprofessional and Rude
I saw Dr. Hastetter 11 years ago when I was pregnant with my son. I wouldn’t recommend this office. Unfortunately my experience was incredibly unpleasant. At one point, he could be heard talking about me loudly in the hall and referred to me as “vain” after leaving the exam room. His nurse came by and gave me an apologetic look and then closed my door. I was so young and shy at the time that I didn’t try hard enough to seek another OB. Being blunt is one thing, but he displays outright unprofessionalism. My experience with him still has me frustrated 11 years later. Thankfully, I chose a new OB when I was pregnant with my daughter last year. MUCH better experience. I recommend Dr. Elizabeth Mann to anyone seeking a kind and thorough OB!

I have not seen him yet, worried after reading the reviews and hope my experience is great. I have a mass on my ovary and hope he is able to make sure if it’s cancer, it hasn’t spread anywhere. I was referred by my primary and he had positive things to say of Dr Hastetter. I pray I’m in good hands.

I saw Dr. Hastetter for a routine procedure. (I'd seen his nurse practitioners previously.) He was horrendously unprofessional, from his language to me, to the way he spoke to his nurse, to the execution of the procedure itself, to his patting my thigh under the protective sheet after the nurse had exited the room. It was appalling, and I'm furious with myself for not reporting the incident to the proper authorities as soon as it happened.

Dr. Hastetter has been my doctor for almost 20 years. He delivered both of my daughters and diagnosed me with a potentially life-threatening condition with my first child (He and his staff identified when my pregnancy-induced hypertension was out of control and headed to pre-eclampsia). He is very straightforward, but I appreciate that in a doctor - and I've never had any issues with him, or his staff and their willingness to answer my questions.

Dr. Hastetter has taken care of me for the past 10 years. He has been with me through both of my pregnancies and has worked with me to manage my weight. He is a busy doctor but I do not need to be coddled. He has excellent staff, many who have been with him for the entire time I have been his patient.

Very rude staff. Looks like Doctor doesn't have that much money so they freaking take every penny and freaking charge are too much. God damn doctor doesn't even do anything and acts like he is the only doctor in the town. And don't even ask about staff, way rude than the doctor. Very unpleasant and arrogant. Do prefer reviews before goi g to the doctor like this and even the staff including receptionist account and the nurses.

Unfortunately, I didn't read the online reviews before I was referred to Dr. Hastetter. Nor did I see the malpractice suits brought against him that he was found guilty of. These would have been enough to make me run the other direction. I found him to be the rudest, most arrogant doctor I have ever encountered. He wouldn't let me finish asking any questions and made me feel as if I was an inconvenience to his day. He is completely unprofessional and it's concerning that he has a medical license
