Dr. Garner is a great doctor, however the people who work in his office are awful. I have been trying for six months to get an insurance claim filed correctly. Despite being told that the claim has been resubmitted, it still has not.

My provider left the practice and Dr. Garner became my PCP. I have a blood disorder that requires warfarin treatment and weekly blood test. I test at home and report the results to the MD. Not once have I gotten a response since he took over my case 6 mos. ago. He doesn't respond to emails. The only time I get any response is in regard to prescription refills. I didn't even know there was a problem with transferring PCPs with the testing company until the company cancelled my account due to not receiving required paperwork from MD office. It was only with the help of a spectactular nurse on staff there that I was able to get my account re-established. Still, I get no feedback on my results nor any direction for corrections that need to be made to medication.

Insurance forms
I am disappointed with Dr Garner and staff. I sent a mycart insurance form that needed faxed to Humana by November 30th for coverage it is December 4th and they still haven’t sent it. I have called every day all they tell me is he hasn’t gotten to it. I will be looking for a new Doctor.

Dr. Thomas Garner
In the visits to Dr. Garner, he has never physically examed me. My old Dr. would listen to me chest, back and check my feet. This doctor has never made the effort. This time I arrived for my appointment 30 minutes early and checked in, was called back into the exam room where the nurse took my vitals. Then sat for almost an hour before I just left. Rude and unprofessional behavior as if their time is the only one that has value. Done with him.

Dr. Garners is the reason the healthcare industry is failing. I would give 0 stars if I could (turns out you can’t make a no star rating). Unprofessional, discriminative, disappointing and really damaging as a professional in the healthcare industry. I went to him for an annual visit and he stepped outside of his lane and made non-clinical assessments that had nothing to do with a preventative annual, documented them, and refuses (still) to correct his errors. He didn’t actually provide care in any way, check up or otherwise. Then he billed my insurance as a an office visit, rather than a preventative visit when he realized he stepped out of line. Still have a bill for a visit that was supposed to be covered 100%. His notes are unprofessional, non-clinical, inaccurate, and harmful to one’s character.

My 94 YO father had an appt to have his vitals checked because he was weak and having shortness of breath. He arrived 10 mins late for his appt, and they made excuses of why NOBODY could take his vitals. We needed advice! He died at home the next morning! INHUMANE!

I was having breathing issues and stated that I had a hiatal hernia. Dr. Garner said that that could not be the cause of the problem and that surgery to repair the hernia is usually not successful. Luckily, I pursued the issue. As it turned out, my hernia was severe and, left untreated, could have caused serious problems. I had the surgery and my breathing issues are gone.
