Had surgery. Have had struggles, very little support. Have not been able to see him for follow up appts, due to his busy schedule. Always on wait list. Does not work well when working nights. I feel like once your balance is paid your done.

I’ve had more than one surgery with Dr Brown due to lap band complications. Both were well organized and executed flawlessly with easy recovery. Louann is easily the most knowledgeable, kind, and caring professional I’ve ever experienced in my medical experiences. Could not recommend him and his staff more. Literally the best of the best!

My experience was quite frankly awful with Dr. Brown. After lab band insertion, I was sent home almost immediately following the surgery and passed out getting out of my car at home (thank goodness my husband was there to catch me. I think I was released way too early. I then proceeded to pass out again while trying to urinate that night. I have had several surgeries under general anesthesia, and had never had any of these complications. I could barely swallow water, so I went in to remove some of the "fill" (liquid) of the band. It did not help much at all and I lost some weight because I could keep almost nothing down. About a month later, I had terrible pain in my abdomen and finally went to the ER. I had a terrible infection that had been festering for a long time. Temp of 105.3, ice baths, horrible diarrhea, and in the hospital for 7 days before they released me after having a PIC line inserted directly to the area near the heart so that my home health nurse could administer high

With 100% confidence in Dr. Brown’s seasoned skills, I had a gastrectomy 06/Nov/18 @7:30. Was up walking laps in the hallway by 2. No real pain. Mild discomfort. Next day, however, I experienced ongoing deep, sharp pain, identical to that of acute pancreatitis I’d had in ‘13. No leaks were detected in scan, yet 8-10 level pain. Dr. Brown is not knowledgeable in Type ONE diabetic management; I had to BEG for orange juice to counter the effects. Now home, on insulin & haven’t needed pain rx once.

Best surgeon I have ever had. Knowledgeable, and caring. From initial first visit to continuing care he is the best. His staff is just as amazing as he is as well. If you want the best, look no further.
