Didn’t listen, very condescending
Went in dealing with debilitating pain through my body and serious cognitive issues, which I’m still dealing with. His prescribed treatment was directly contradictory to my most painful symptoms. Overall was condescending, talked and tried to joke too much. Unless he knows for sure, he is very dismissive. Didn’t even want to try tests, it was a huge waste of time. He seems more concerned about his golf and fishing schedule than his patients.

He was very rude and made us feel crazy for even being in his office. Our daughter had a non life threatening TBI.

Dr. Banas is continuing to treat my wife for her Parkinson’s after first diagnosing it 3 years ago. He recognized her symptoms and prescribed meds which really have helped especially with the restless legs she was struggling with for years. He is compassionate and patiently listens, giving as much time as needed. He is an encouragement every time we visit and knows how to help whatever issues we present.

He does a lot of talking and said he thinks out loud. I’m there because I’m not well and he tells me that I look good, as if there’s nothing wrong with me. He doesn’t discuss with and ask you ok. As far as his nurse goes, she shouldn’t be a nurse. She seldom returns phone calls. When I did speak with her one time, I mentioned cancer because I had had cancer and she blew up in the phone saying she’s not the one to be having this conversation with because she lost her daughter to cancer. Very rude

I have been struggling to get answers to the issues I'm having. I went in expecting some encouragement and a possible cause but left feeling very uneasy with no more answers than before. " You might just have to live with it!" I'll see you back in a couple months and see how your symptoms are. Just left feeling hopeless.

Dr Banas is a fabulous neurologist. Several years ago, he diagnosed my Parkinson's. While he was clinically astute, he was also compassionate and understanding. He gave my husband and I time to react and comprehend the diagnosis. He so precisely prescribed the right combination of medicines to control this disease. I have recommended him to others and assured them that he will listen , perform tests that help him properly diagnose and develop a comprehensive treatment plan.
