Dr. Theresa Oakley, DO

I've been a patient for over six years and I trust Dr. Oakley as my primary care physician. She listens during each visit, reviews labs drawn every six months, and she discusses nutrition, diet, and exercise during each visit which I need and appreciate. Efficiency, timeliness, and caring are equally balanced and important to me. The med techs and administrative staff are pleasant and professional. I have recommended Dr. Oakley to friends and colleagues and will continue to do so.

Dr. Oakley is a great physician...as long as you do exactly as she says. If you question her treatment plan or voice serious concerns regarding medications, she will verbally browbeat you into submission or discharge you without warning.

Dr. Oakley is super attentive and she really cares for her patients. She makes herself available whenever needed. Most importantly she listens and SHE CARES! That's hard to find...I'm very thankful for her. Anyone who have Dr. Oakley as their Doctor is super blessed. #MyDoc4Life!

She and her staff are efficient, no nonsense professionals! Dr. Oakley doesn’t sugar coat her analysis and tells it like it is. She always has a smile and pleasant greeting when she comes through the door but then it’s all about your health conditions! That’s what I believe a Doctor should do. But, if you have a problem she takes all the time you need to share your feelings with her. Excellent Doctor! Highly recommend!

Dr. Oakley is my primary doctor and I just love being her patient, so much so, that even though I have insurance, I pay out of pocket for my office visits because she is not a provider on my medical plan. Dr. Elias is also wonderful. I had an emergency skin issue and they got me in right away and he prescribed the most appropriate antibiotic according to my dermatologist. The office is so efficient, organized and well run that I never wait more than 5 minutes before going to an exam room. I can easily schedule an appointment on my lunch hour knowing I can get there, in and out and back home within an hour. And when I have questions Dr. Oakley never makes me feel rushed but rather takes time to talk to me and give me her undivided attention. I feel that I am in very capable hands and would recommend Dr. Oakley and Dr. Elias to anyone looking for a great doctor!

Dr. Oakley is a pretty good diagnostician but if you don't get results like she expects, then it must be your fault. Also, I would schedule with her but upon arrival I was always shifted to her husband. (This happened to at least 3 other people I know but this was more than 10 years ago, so don't know if the bait and switch continues). He is more personable, his care is average. Due to his negligence I had serious health repercussions. Add to the fact, that his nurse, Chris dropped the ball getting me breathing support then lied about it, repeatedly, and someone else in the office saw what happened and followed up for me. Thus I was very sick for weeks due to Chris's negligence. Dr. Elias accused me of lying instead of checking the facts for himself (very easy to do). Then I nearly died and he discharged me from the hospital before I was enough improved and I ended up back in the hospital again. This was the last straw. Staff is not generally helpful.

Dr Oakley is very knowledgeable. She quickly diagnosed a problem that another doctor missed. She is not exactly warm and fuzzy and neither is any of the staff. The practice is very well run and always on schedule. Sometimes she seems a bit over confident. She does seem very smart. She answers all questions but spends more time on the computer than with the patient. This is an issue with computers in medicine. She could be a better listener, she sometimes jumps in with an answer before I finish my question. I have seen her about 5 times and am still making up my mind.

I found Dr. Oakley to be very rude. She talks while looking at her computer and not at the patient. It feels as though she would rather be somewhere else rather than being with you. Yes, she will not accept excuses but also will not offer any advice or any alternative. I found her to be rude!
