Top Pediatric GI doctor!
Dr Stathos treated my children and later my grandchildren! No matter their age he committed well and also with the parents. Our family did not have easy diagnosis and Dr Stathos followed through until we did. He is a kind, skilled and compassionate person and provider. We feel blessed that he was brought into our lives to provide care.

Awful! Disgrace! Pathetic
Most unprofessional provider I have ever dealt with. He was aggressive, unprofessional, unruly, & his office was disorganized. Took 4 weeks with no communication, they drop the ball in orders, and scheduling. He “forgets” conversations that he has 3 days prior. He lied and was caught about patient care, we don’t recommend him to anyone! He will randomly cancel your child’s case, and think it’s acceptable to not even tell the patient he is cancelling. He has no care for his patients, nursing staff, or families. He needs to retire, he has no heart in medical.

I never leave reviews. So why am I leaving a review for Dr. Stathos? I just received a bill from him with a threat to send me to collections. I'll pay the bill and share my daughter's story: My daughter went to this mad scientist back in early Feb 2021. He diagnosed her with Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome which is extremely rare. She ended up with a GJ tube for this rare disease. She continued to have abdominal pain, so they removed her appendix. She still had pain so we took her to Children's hospital in Aurora. They told us she does not have this rare disease and would never have put her through the GJ tube or appendix surgery. They diagnosed her with a common nerve condition in her abdominal area. She got the GJ tube out in November and is doing great! She missed the last month of high school and the first semester of college. Don't be fooled by his humor and stories, he is unprofessional and unethical. Stathos never followed up to see how my daughter was doing.

Dr. Stathos has been caring for our son's extremely complicated Ulcerative Colitis for five years. We could not ask for a more compassionate, knowledgeable, thoughtful, supportive, caring physician and human being in our son's and our family's lives. Dr. Stathos is truly on the medical journey with each patient and with our son. Dr. Stathos is an exceptional physician (in one of the most complicated medical areas of pediatric gastroenterology), scientist (leaving no stone unturned), teacher (to his patients), and mentor (to his staff and medical students blessed to shadow him). He takes the time to thoroughly examine, know, and explain everything to each patient. We could not ask for a better physician for our son and are incredibly grateful to Dr. Stathos - an A+++ in every way!!!

Dr. Stathos uncovered a g.i. problem that we think had been going on for 3+ years. He was able to repair the problem which allowed our son to finally get on the growth chart. He takes the time to listen and trusts the parents' intuition. Definitely THE best g.i. doc we have ever seen and one of our all-time favorite doctors over all!

Wouldn't recommend the whole practice. Front desk is a complete mess. The nurse is rude and very unhelpful.
