Excellent Neurologist
Dr. Nukes skipped his lunch hour to fit my mom when she needed to be seen urgently. I also followed up with him for an issue and I was very pleased. He is very intelligent and works the problem for a solution.

Excellent physician!
Dr. Nukes has seen my (Very!) elderly mother for several years, treating her for migraines and then for confusion, falls, and possible hydrocephalus. Whether in the office or in the hospital, he always spends plenty of time reviewing her current condition and any recent changes. He is meticulous and thorough in his evaluations and exams. He clearly explains the rationale for the treatment that he recommends and provides good directions. We would definitely recommend Dr. Nukes to anyone looking for an excellent neurologist.

I am a very discerning nurse and I have been a patient of Dr. Nukes for 10 years and he has always gone above and beyond what any physician would do in helping treat my sleep apnea and my epilepsy. In fact I am seizure free now whereas before I had a seizure 2 to 3 times a month ! Dr. Nukes tries very hard to get work comp patients back to work. We are all just sick of lazy people sitting at home faking and pretending to be injured at work getting your checks for not working when everyone else has to work and scamming the system. Shame on you.

In my experience and opinion this is truly an unethical and awful doctor. I saw him some years ago for a workman's comp injury. He was actually recommended by my company's workman's comp insurance which should have been the first red flag. Throughout his treatment he seemed to just be prioritizing getting me back to work over my care at which point I would have a relapse and when I would go to see him again he would be very stingy with giving me recommended time off. I genuinely got the impression that he was doing what the workman's comp insurance wanted him to do instead of prioritizing my care. He did eventually prescribe me medication to help with my recovery. At which point shortly after I started having problems with my jaw locking up and difficulty speaking or moving my jaw. Amongst other new symptoms. When I went to see him about the new issues unrelated to my concussion he told me that it was psychosomatic and all in my head and I was probably making it up for attention.

Drove my wife 75 miles for her in-person appointment. Arrived at the office and the office staff said that he was only doing virtual appointments. I took an entire day off from work to bring her here. When she made the appointment, they specifically said that it would be in-person. They even sent the directions and told her to be there one half hour early. Will be looking for another Neurologist. Very unprofessional. The office staff acted like they didn't care.

Dr. Nukes is by far the most incompetent neurologist I've ever met. My last appointment involved waiting an hour and a half in the exam room for him to spend five minutes with me. He is insensitive, and unknowledgable of my condition. Despite every test, MRI, EEG, operation, visit, and medication I have ever taken sitting in a folder on his lap. He ends every appointment with, "Good luck."I do not trust him and will never return to his office.
