I have never been to a mental health doctor who was more unprofessional. He works at the Hampton Veterans Hospital with Vets!!!! He does not listen and will literally argue with you if you do not agree with him. He told me to taper off a medication over 5 days which threw me into horrible side effects and then argued about my reaction

WOW. I waited over a month to see this guy after I was tested somewhere else for ADHD. Got the diagnosis, then the office calls two days before my appt. and tells me he does not want to be my Dr. WHAT?? Not sure if this is common practice or just this Dr. I am speechless! The office girl was sharp and careless as well. No, I do not recommend him. Should have read other reviews first.

I’ve seen Opalach for 3 years with nothing but disappointment. Opalach discharged me this week after 3 years when I told him I stopped taking my meds and was looking for help/answers or just a single reason to go on. I mentioned my thoughts of suicide. He didn’t want to write me any departing prescriptions, I had to argue with him when I asked for a month’s worth of medicine, to which Opalach said, “but you’re not even taking the medicine.” I’m sorry your skewed perception makes you seem ethical

The secretary working in the office of Thaddeus Opalach. She is rude. Not helpful. Does not work well with people that have a handicapp. She may very well be a patient of the doctor. Would not recommend this place at all. I will be filing a complaint with Texas medical board with a taped conversation.

As a professional in the field of mental health I feel Dr. Opalach was very compassionate and empathetic during my visit. He was patient and specific during the assessment and in no way did I feel rushed or unheard. He was thorough in explaining my treatment options and welcomed my feedback. Kathy, his receptionist was pleasant and offered advice regarding my insurance/deductible that most wouldn't bother to offer. If you approach people with respect it is likely given in return.

Totally uncaring & unprofessional. He gives you about 10 minutes of his time, once that's up, he shuffles you out. He truly does NOT care & has a condescending arrogance. He knows very little about mental illness and it shows. It is obvious he is only in it to write prescriptions and make his $600 an hour, 10 minute visit =$100. Disgusting. This is a quack doctor.

I found this doctor to be polite and courteous. He spent about 15 minutes my first visit and subsequent visits are quick and to point, 5 to 8 min. However, I have found that after hour care is next to impossible. Any issues with medicine, he leaves hanging out to dry. He acts and speaks as though he is concerned for your welling being but I guess that's only as long as you are in the office face to face with him. The minute you walk out, that concern and care are over until next visit.

Dr. Opalach saw me for 5-7 minutes and told me I was too unstable for him to treat. Needless to say, I won't recommend him or be back in the future.

The unfortunate result of this review is that Dr. Opalach really didn't get the chance to show his abilities however he did show how he operates as a professional. Being in the business of dealing with people that are suffering from mental disorders, any simple minded person could speculate that his line of work should allow for problems like missing an appointment. I understand the issues with that and I'm just a mechanic. The sad thing is that a doctor doesn't understand his supposed expertise

I scheduled an appointment with his receptionist she call me back said but I will have to reschedule she then said she would later call me and let me know when the next available opening would be. She never returned my call and I later called her back . she tells me since I was a no-show which was incorrect that they could no longer see me as a new patient receptionist is horrible and I believe she needs therapy as well

He spends probably 5-10 minutes with me. Yes, he's on his computer the whole time, but that's because he's taking notes and keeping up with my file. I personally don't want to sit there a talk about my problems and life; I just need someone to give me a thumbs-up that I'm okay and keep giving me the meds that have worked for 6 years. In that essence, he's the best doc I've had in a long time.
