Owe my life to Dr. Day
I was referred to Dr. Day with melanoma on my head. Dr. Day did exactly what I would want my surgeon to do: explained my condition fully, thoroughly detailed the treatment plan and then he and his partner performed the surgeries flawlessly. Dr. Day was approachable, knowledgeable and confident—but not arrogant—and his demonstrated experience with my exact condition and procedure was more reassuring than any single thing anyone could have said. What did he not do? He didn't make promises he couldn't keep, he didn't sugarcoat the seriousness of my condition, he didn't get ahead of the test results and make guesses about what might be around the next corner and, unlike the other oncologists I saw, he didn't treat me like a number and bury me with statistics that might or might not be applicable to my unique condition.

Two time cancer survivor -both with Dr Day
Dr Day has been my Head and Neck doctor since 2005 when I first experienced cancer. He is very knowledgeable and explains things in real human terms for understanding. Dr Day places emphasis on your quality of life and does not discourage your will to fight. My second cancer was in 2021 and Dr Day expressed the same exceptional care in 2021 as he did in 2005.

Dr. Day saved my brother who had stage four skin cancer of head. Dr. Day performed an eight hour surgery that removed all cancer seen and then my brother had to have reconstructive surgery with another wonderful doctor, Dr. Evan Greyboyes. After extensive radiation treatments and followed up with immunotherapy, my brother now two years out is cancer free. Thank you MUSC, these teams and doctors are Amazing!
