Dr. Terry Amaral, MD

I have been under the care of Dr. Terry Amaral for the past 8-9 years, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. I have had hip dysplasia since birth along with leg length discrepancy, and Dr. Amaral has taken care of me exceptionally well all these years. Every surgery he has performed on me has been successful, significantly improving my physical condition. Dr. Amaral truly cares about my well-being and takes into account my schedule, health, and quality of life, especially as I start my early career job. My parents trust him completely, and we all feel grateful and lucky to have him for my treatment. He has truly changed my life, and I am incredibly grateful to have been cared for by such an intelligent and compassionate person. Dr. Amaral is sweet, caring, and listens attentively, with the most humble personality. I cannot recommend him enough!

Met him last year to discuss spinal surgery for my son. Seemed like a nice guy. Since that time a year ago, surgery has been postponed about 3 times for one reason or another, but usually the same reason - secretary Alexis doesn't do what she's supposed to and always is postponed about 2 days before surgery date. This last go around, we were supposed to have surgery done July 26th. It got postponed until 8/4. July 30th, it was decided that it would get postponed again until September. I had put in for family leave already for the August date and now had to rearrange my work for Sept. Alexis said my son was told surgery not happening and that it would "be around Sept 8th" but that once a date was confirmed, she would fill out my leave papers. She filled out September 6th. You would think date was confirmed, no? My son emailed her last week to see if surgery still on. No answer. He called on Friday and was told someone from hospital would call. No call night before. This amazing human called me back after hours even though I was not even a patient. My son had broken his clavicle and I was being rushed into surgery by primary ortho. I was panicking because my son is 15 and this surgery could impact his life in a major way. I always get a second opinion but time was not on my side. Dr. Amaral spent time with me on the phone listening and explaining my options. Even though he was off the next day he gave my info to the office and had me see his partner. They fit me in next day, excellent time from start to finish and wonderful treatment!! Dr. Amaral even called me back on his day off to follow up with me. NO ONE DOES THAT ANYMORE, ESPECIALLY NOT A DOCTOR THAT DOESN'T EVEN KNOW ME. I am so grateful for Dr. Amaral and his team. They went above and beyond to help and provided me and my son the best care. Thank you so much Dr. Amaral and Dr. Dimauro.

Dr Amaral went above and beyond to save my daughter’s leg. He rushed to my daughters bedside to have emergency surgery after midnight. Besides my daughter Chloe Philemon a 12 years old, would only let Dr Amaral touch her legs. The confidence she put in the doctor adding to his great credentials and experience helped top it off. And sure enough, the surgery was successful and now my daughter Chloe who has SCFE and one leg shorter then the the other. Today her legs are symmetrical. Thanks a lot!!!

I WAS 15 WHEN I HAD GOT MY SURGERY HE WAS THE ONE WHO PERFORMED IT NOT ONLY DID HE TAKE GREAT CARE OF ME BUT MY LEG IS STRAIGHT... EVERYTIME I THINK ABOUT THIS MAN AND HOW HE MADE MY LIFE BETTER IT BRINGS TEARS TO MY EYES AND I'M 23 NOW I WILL NEVER FORGET HIM AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM FOR ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY!

Dr.Amaral did a excellent job on the surgery for my daughter's scoliosis. He made her surgery successful and made it really more straight than usual.
