I had a neck strain that left me feeling low energy, wanting to sleep all day, and just a general brain fog feeling. I couldn’t turn my head in full range of motion for over a month until I decided to see Dr. Wanczyk per a friend’s recommendation. I’m SO glad I did. She did osteopathic manipulation on me and myofascial release and it felt SO good. She slowly maneuvered my head and neck in all sorts of ways. By the end of the treatment I already felt the brain fog start to go away and I felt so much better, better than I had in over a month. She was very informative and explained that extreme neck strains like I had can disrupt blood flow to the brain and press on nerves and cause the “brain fog” I was describing. I was blown away! Over the next few days, I could turn my head in full range of motion without any pain. Before seeing her I tried heat, ice, ibuprofen. Nothing worked but her treatment. I went once more 2 weeks later but at that point I felt normal again. So glad I found her!

The office is not very clean, and we always had to wait for awhile even though there were no patients before us. I decided not to take my child there anymore, because I think the manipulations were too hard for him and that was completely unnecessary. My child cried and hated it so there was no way that felt 'relaxing' to him. I took him to a cranio-sacral therapist instead who was incredibly gentle with him.

It's so exciting for me as your new patient to feel immediate improvement in my body after one treatment. Teresa moved my head around, then she moved her fingers around my forehead like an octopus. Then, on my way home, I felt different. Some of my improvements were: my hip was not hurting and later my body felt stronger, I got my sense of smell and taste back. -Maria C., Chicago, IL

Dr Wanczyk is an excellent doctor who gives each patient the time they need. I don't mind waiting in her office because I know that she will take the time with me when I need it. Coming to her office I know that my concerns will be listened to and addressed. The woman who works at the front desk is friendly and it is easy to get an appointment with the doctor. When I leave her office I feel educated about my health and empowered to make changes for better health!
