Great surgeon. She diagnosed and operated on my bone growth on my wrist. Total cure. No complications. Highly recommend.

So I understand her regular patients gives her a high rating but my question is, does she value diagnostic tests or does she dismiss them the way she does as an IME doctor paid by NYS to dismiss MRI and EMGs?? After seeing multiple IME doctors over the years, Their reports said I could never go back to my original job doing full labor. Yes social security and workers comp IME who were not on my side said I cannot do my job but Habacker was the only doctor to dismiss my diagnostic tests and Say there is nothing wrong with me. Proof that a doctor will lie for a paycheck. These are not my feelings but the facts. Social security said carpal tunnel was a neurological deficit and awarded disability but habacker said I could do my job with no restrictions. I always thought a doctor regardless should evaluate, diagnose and tell the facts about what a test reveals and diagnose a patient based on these facts. She dismissed my hip, back and wrist injuries for a paycheck. Pathetic!

I had a great experience with Dr Habacker and the Riverhead office. I felt I was in excellent hands. Dr Habacker is the best. The office manager is so helpful, patient, kind, and professional. The office staff is so pleasant and professional. Everyone I dealt with was helpful, kind, and caring. I highly recommend Dr Habacker and the Riverhead office. ,

Had an IME with her and she flat out lied on her report. I highly recommend you videotape your appt. It may seem awkward but is absolutely necessary when dealing with someone like this. She does a lot of Workers Comp cases and it seems as if the insurance co is scared of high payouts or costly surgery, they will send you to her. Almost a guaranteed suspension of pmts and denial of surgery regardless of test results and dr reports. I wish I could sue her for lying but no proof. At the very least, she may do an actual exam if she knows she’s being taped.

Dr. Habacker is friendly, easy to discuss the issue with and clear in explaining the procedure you're headed for. I had a mass on my left index finger that needed removal to avoid attaching to my bone. The mass was completely removed with minimum scaring. I would recommend Dr. Habacker for any hand issues.

She operated on me and went on vacation immediately without a covering doctor! I ran into complications and her inept staff told me to go to the emergency room.... as if there's a hand specialist there who's going to help me. I developed RSD because of her wrong post op instructions. Then she told the doctor who referred her to me that I didn't go to her made up "covering doctor" because they didn't take my insurance. Little did she know the doctor who referred me didn't accept my insurance so she tripped herself up. Don't walk, run.

The reviews are 100% correct. This doctor should is awful. I went for IME for back surgery I had and hip problems. 90 second exam if you can call it that. How does she know more then the doctors I have been seeing for 18 months in 90 seconds? Now I am being forced to go back to my job because of her. I need surgery on my hip plus further back procedures and now I can’t get it because my LTD provider (The Hartford) dropped me because of her sham of an exam and report. She definitely is partial to the insurance companies from my experience. Unbelievable. Beware.

this place is a joke,this doctor is a joke went to see her for a IME spent 2 mins in the exam room and she wrote a 15 page report she should be ashamed of herself she is not a doctor just in it for the money I hope nobody has to see her I hope one day she has to see a doctor for a IME and they treat her like she treats everyone BEWARE OF THIS DOCTOR !!!!!!!!!!

*DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!* I had a serious injury to one of my fingers, and this doctor knew nothing about how to treat me. She refused to take stitches out, and left it prone to infection. She wanted to leave them in for two months! I went to another doctor thank god and got it taken care of. She will only visit with you for 2min and then will charge you for SURGERY even though she didn’t even fully examine or do anything to your hand. Unbelievable

I was sent to Dr. Teresa Habacker by Gallagher and Bassett Claim Services for an Independent Medical Examination due to a Workers’ Compensation back injury. I arrived early for the examination which was scheduled for 9:30 A.M. at a Chiropractor’s Office. I was handed a form to complete with my medical history but still had to wait after the form was completed. I was then taken to another room were the receptionist asked additional questions. I was then escorted into the treatment room which consisted of a small desk and a Chiropractic Treatment Table. She did not introduce herself and told me to sit on the table. The examination lasted approximately 7 minutes and I was dismissed. I finally received the report which contains numerous inaccuracies, false statements, and did not document my answers correctly or at all. She also conducted tests which were not relevant and stated she used a goniometer for measurements which she never did. She is listed as an orthopedic surgeon but her spec

Excellent experience. I highly recommend Dr Habacker. She is not quick to push surgery. She works very closely with Professional Physical hand therapy and offered therapy before surgery. I had a great outcome with her injection and therapy. I may need surgery in the future and I will feel very comfortable with Dr Habacker.

Great experience. I was so happy with the personal care I received from the entire staff. I had wrist surgery with little discomfort and now pain free and strong.

Saw her 3 times .. she informed more I had a torn ligament but didn’t provide enough information to my insurance for an MRI .. I go to another doctor and I was approved for an mri the following day . The staff is also careless

Dr. Theresa Habacher is an excellent hand specialist who did surgery on my finger over a year ago. With time and with therapy, my finger has healed so well that I can hardly see or feel any difference between the injured finger and my other normal fingers. I find this remarkable since my finger had been severely injured with a fracture and torn ligaments. I owe this recovery to the expertise of Dr. Theresa Habacher! She is a highly skilled surgeon, and I am so grateful that I was led to her!

This doctor is completely incompetent and she is a liar. I went for carpal tunnel surgery she messed it up didn't tell me she was going on vacation three days after my surgery for two weeks and left NO covering doctor she then lied to my doctor who referred her to me and said that I didn't go to the covering doctor bc they didn't take my insurance.. her office was nasty and told me to put ice on something that needed heat and I ended up with RDS syndrome find another doctor!

This doctor will make medical decisions the minimize and contradict blatant medical evidence of injuries or impairments. She is an IME doctor who is funded by insurance companies to be as brief as possible in her examination, yet so conclusive in her medical report and decisions. She is a disgrace to doctors, and her license should be revoked.
