Dr. Tassia Kostopoulos, MD

Well I had an abnormal mole removed from my side when this Dr was at VCU. I had one of the stitches pop open and had a gaping wound 1/4 inch across. Instead of having me come back in and closing the wound she told me to just cover it and it would heal on its own. Since I had this one stitch popped the wound was open in that spot and took weeks to heal because it had to grow skin to cover this hole. I do not understand why the dr did not stitch it back closed especially since I am diabetic. It eventually healed but left I nasty looking scar instead of just a straight scar from the incision.

Dr Kostopoulos is a talented and caring physician.

I had MOHS surgery and Dr. K. explained what she was doing, answered my questions and the results were great and healed nicely. I have nothing but praise for her.

I had a concern about a skin condition and went to Dr. Kostopoulus for a dx. Her bedside manner leaves much to be desired. She probably should not be working with patients. She did not take the time to really listen to my concerns. She tried to give me a dx in the first 5 mins simply based on my family medical history alone. I pressed for more answers and went to her twice, but I could tell that all she wanted was to publish an acct. of my condition because it was perplexing, esp. in an African-American woman. She took a biopsy sample and cut so deep that it took almost 6 weeks to heal. Her nurse was wonderful and seems to compensate for her lack of patient empathy, but I would never go back to her or recommend her to others.

Dr. Kostopoulos was very rude. She has a dismissive personality and very condescending. It made my child’s experience very uncomfortable and I don’t feel she is very knowledgable in her field. I corrected her multiple times on possible diagnosis. Would not recommend at all.

Great surgeon, great bedside manner, wonderful sense of humor. Unlike any Dr I've known.

Dr. Tassia Kostopoulos is very professional, thorough and efficient. Her upbeat and positive attitude made my visit worthy of posting this review.
