Dr. Taryn Schuknecht, DO

I switched to Dr Schuknecht at about 32 weeks, was very happy with that decision. She delivered my heathy baby boy, she was great in the delivery room. I will be seeing her for any future pregnancy or well women things. She spends time in the room with you and actually talks and listen to you about any problems or questions you have.

I have had 3 appointments with Dr. Schuknecht. My last appointment really solidified my peace in making the decision in choosing her as my OB. I felt very strongly about not wanting to drink Glucola for my test and wanted to explore other options. When I went in for my last appointment the nurse informed me that my next appointment I would be doing the glucose test. I told her that I did not want to do the drink and wanted to talk about other options and she immediately said "well it's required" and I said I know its suggested and the most common option and before I could finish she said "No, it's required". Instead of getting emotional I held my tongue and waited for Dr. Schuknecht. Once she came in after the nurse left I asked her about it and she immediatly gave me another option and reasurred me that NOTHING with my birth is required and this birth is mine. I get to make the decisions. This was so important to me. I want to say more but I'm running out of characters.
