Dr. Tariq Halim, MD

Dr. Halim helped guide me and provided a wonderfully in depth back and forth conversation that helped me immensely mentally at the time and also gave me further positive understandings of the field of psychology that I am pursuing. I would certainly recommend him if you are looking for someone with your best interest at heart.

Dr Halim is one of the best I've ever experienced in 25 years. Takes as much time as needed to make sure that your mental health is going in the right direction. I am so happy that I found an amazing Doctor who cares.

I had 3 total visits with Tariq. During the first appointment, Tariq quoted Jordan Peterson, adding that “he makes good points.” Tariq also invited me to play basketball with him outside of appointments/treatment.

Dr. Halim is the best physician among all the specialists I have seen over the years. He is warm hearted, an expert in his field, and very professional. Clearly he cares for his patient’s welfare and loves what he does.

By the time I found Dr. Halim I was absolutely desperate for someone to help me save my own life. I was two years into an extremely traumatizing situation that had completely disempowered me. I was living everyday with suicidal ideation and knew that the I couldn't hold out any longer. I felt ashamed knowing that I was in crisis enough to need medication. All of his reviews are true of him. I have never in my life experienced the kind of subtle, intuitive, in-depth, skilled and unbelievably knowledgeable care from and doctor in any field of medicine. It is evident that he truly cares for his patients and has a deep desire to see real, tangible change in their quality of life... But what makes him unique and exceptional is also that he genuinely LOVES the actual work he does. The figuring out part. His deeply genuine fascination with solving the puzzle of each unique patient... I'm forever grateful for his brilliant mastery of the gray area.

Dr. Halim has been my psychiatristfor many years. He helped me thru some of the most difficult times of my life. I can't find words that do him justice. He evaluates me as a whole, not just my emotions & mental health issues. If you find yourself in need of therapy, I believe that you will quickly discover how fortunate a choice that Dr. Halim would be.

Would most certainly recommend Dr. Halim, most compassionate and caring doctor we’ve ever seen!

This man is amazing; my wife is bipolar and has been treated by 2 other psychiatrists for 15 years; he spent so much time with us focusing on her, creating a new and completely different treatment plan, etc...he is changing the rest of her life (as well as mine) for the best; I can't imagine anyone better than he is at what he does!

Easy to talk to and has a sense of humor. Made my process and visit effortless. I felt he really cares about the quality of care and direction for people.

Dr. Halim is an amazing person. His ability to successfully treat the source of problems as well as encourage me to continue to be healthy is hard to find in mental health. You will never feel lost again.

I started my treatment with him while he was a resident. It was a Blessing he was assigned to me at USF for talk therapy and medication management. I highly recommend him. Best doc ever

Dr.Halim is treating me for multiple illnesses ! He IS THE BEST DOCTOR I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH !!!!!!!! HE IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE GREATEST DOCTOR THAT I HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO WORK WITH !!!!!!! AND I HAVE SEEN ALOT OF DOCTORS AND NONE COMPAIR TO Dr.H......Love ya Doc

Dr. Halim is amazing. He has gift and can see through a person and really understand whats going on. He has not only helped myself but also my teenager. He makes you feel comfortable and not judged and most importantly he listens and doesn't just jump to medications or crazy solutions. He really truly cares about his patients. My daughter and I have been patients of his for 5 years .

Dr. Halim has honestly changed my life! He is not one of those doctors who just prescribes medication per some protocol without listening to the patient. He considers the whole person; their symptoms, their perspective, their environment, their history, their relationships, as well as their ability to help themselves through their own efforts. As a nurse who has seen a lot of providers in action, it is so refreshing to see! I have no doubt that he truly cares about each and every one of his patients mental, emotional, and physical health, and tailors their treatment to their unique individual needs. I am impressed with his extensive knowledge about medications and it’s evident in my experience that his medical instinct is simply brilliant! He’s professional and takes the time to educate me, but I also feel very comfortable with him because of his easygoing personality. I would trust him to care for any of my loved ones. What an incredible person and outstanding doctor, he listen and educated me on things that I could do doing extreme panic attacks instead of over medicating. Guess I'm going for an 1 1/2 hour ride to see he because what they have here in Lee County at DNA are off the wall and has NO experience at all. KJM Lee county

Dr. Halim is wonderful -- highly intelligent (GREAT diagnostician, and educated about conditions -- more so than other doctors I've met), and he really cares. (So rare these days.) He's also really funny -- I always laugh when we talk.) My whole family loves him.

Dr.Halim is very helpful and down to earth. Sad to see him leave MCRC. I don't really want a new doctor for my child. I need to know where he moved to so I can follow.
