Dr. Tara Broadwater, MD

I met with Dr. Broadwater in 2016 at the Associated Clinic or Psychology in Minneapolis. She diagnosed me with four different illnesses at the end of our 45 minutes together, which I feel was rushed and not entirely accurate. She asked me to scheduled a follow-up appointment a few weeks later, but there were no appointments during that time, so I had to wait 2 months before I could see her again. For my second appointment, she was 50 minutes late to see me. When I reminded the receptionist 30 minutes after the scheduled time, I was given attitude. The receptionist then phoned Dr. Broadwater and basically told her I was making a scene in the lobby about being late (entirely untrue). I also had many issues with getting refills to prescriptions through her nurse/PA and had billing issues. I would not recommend ACP to anyone.

Has failed to show up to appointments without the clinic even telling me for "life" reasons, not emergencies. This has resulted in putting me in life threatening withdrawal, twice. I have other clinicians she shocks with her decisions. She refuses to even Google medications she knows nothing about, and has refused to read anything faxed to her by my other mental health professionals or my medical record. She's displayed such negligent behavior that I'm terrified for patients who listen to her.

Dr Broadwater is very personable and helped me to feel comfortable right away. She made a thorough assessment of my history and health issues before coming up with a plan. She was not judgmental and seems to be very knowledgeable of modern psychiatry trends. I would recommend her and am happy to have found a doctor I like.
