Caring Oncologist
My husband was diagnosed last year with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, we knew this was a battle that would be hard. We were lucky to have Dr.Saab, although the diagnosis has a low survival rate, Dr. Saab never told my husband a time limit to his life, just told us it was up to the man upstairs. I am thankful for this and that Dr.Saab was so caring, even though my husband only made it 5.5 months, he lived each day hopeful and fighting to live, this meant the world to me because my husband still looked forward to each day and we were still able to create precious memories and moments in-between, nothing in life is more important. Dr.Saab fought along with us and I will forever be greatful for him.

Referred to Dr. Saabs in Phoenix by #1 Oncologist Dr. Raymond Lobins Springfield, MO said Mayo clinics doctors are top rated so I'd be in good hands. Dr. Saabs DOES NOT CARE FOR HIS PATIENTS WELL BEING AT ALL PATIENTS ARE JUST A NUMBER TO HIM. I seen him 1st appt gave me treatment plan for Stage 4 metastatic colon cancer infusions of most aggressive treatments for a young adult and ordered a bunch of genetic testing. Said he always reachable through portal (Never responded to emergency msg or any) I began treatments had allergic reaction throat swelling & N.P. said it was just side effect continue on. Called scheduling get appt to have reactions addressed. 2 months was earliest available to see Dr. Saabs they had me continue treatments even though I was having allergic reactions All Mayo was worried about was that I went to chemo appt. When I seen Dr. Saab. I asked him would you want your daughter continue care with you. He said nothing just sorry his team failed me.

HORRIBLE!! A family member was under his care for a rare, aggressive cancer who lived only 4 months after being diagnosed. This Dr. (term used loosely) shuffled our family member off to a PA and we never saw him again!! He ordered radiation and chemo that he knew would never work and even said he could have his colostomy reversed which would never have been a possibility given the severity of his cancer. Put our loved one through so much that was not prudent and did it all through his PA!

Dr. Saab is an egocentric personality who routinely keeps his patients waiting two or more hours beyond their scheduled appointment. He enjoys a favorable reputation in the medical community and uses his position to influence patients and their families concerning treatment options. Two years after the death of my husband from cancer I have learned that 97 percent of the time chemotherapy does not curb the disease. I was never told that by Dr. Saab who instead highly recommended the treatment
