Dr. Tambra Woods, MD

Dr. Woods has been my primary doctor for at least 12 years. She said to me on one visit, I get it. I can hardly talk to my older clients about losing weight anymore. It's so difficult. She still offers help every visit though. She was very helpful to me about my son being gay. No judgment. She is really on top of my diabetes II. She is wonderful and competent.

I am 65+ years old. While on vacation I tested positive for CoVID and was symptomatic. I consulted by telephone a Centura doctor in my local primary care practice group. He suggested I contact Centura (at a phone number he gave me) for a monoclonal antibody infusion immediately when I returned to my home state. Back home I called a day later on Sunday morning. The scheduling rep said the first available opening was three days later. Since this would have put the infusion outside the recommended range of days after symptoms onset and would not have been effective, I called to speak with the on-call dr in my practice group. Dr. Tamara Woods called back 20 minutes later. She was abrupt and rude and questioned why I thought this was an “emergency”. She was irritated with me, saying it was the first time in over 30 years of practice that she’d been contacted for something like this. She told me to contact CDPHE and was flustered and annoyed when I asked what the acronym stood for.

Very professional and thoroughly explains what’s going on. Gives a detailed printout to review what was discussed and any treatments. Nice staff and didn’t wait too long.

Dr. Woods is an experienced, caring doctor who seems to care about her patients. I have been her patient for many years and like her and respect her more as time goes by. I was severely depressed and suffering from chronic back pain. Dr. Woods suggested that I was anorexic (I was not) and refused to answer more of my questions and concerns because my 15 minutes was up.
