One of the best!
Dr Gracer is one of the best doctors I’ve had. She is kind, empathetic, and very thorough and always follows up. She is very diligent with her referrals and has gone above and beyond to get me into specialists. I too followed her from Stanford to John Muir and am really glad that I did. I highly recommend her.

Appointment felt rushed
A very kind doctor, but I feel like she is pressured by John Muir to pack in appointments and rush through them and increase revenues. Appointment was running behind and paperwork was confused, I think due to her assistant going to lunch and another assistant taking over during the lunch break. Also, her hours have been reduced to three days per week, so I know she isn't taking on new patients, so for that reason, would not be recommending. In the past, things were better. I feel like John Muir is trying to find ways to up its revenues by tacking on CPT codes, so all I can say is, tell them up front what the appointment is about and let them know that you need to be advised of any costs outside of the scope of what you are going for, or you will have billing surprises.

She has been a wonderful physician for both my husband and me. We followed her from Stanford to John Muir. We have both found her to be warm, hospitable, able to answer our medical concerns knowledgeably and efficiently. She has responded quickly to emails and requests for prescription renewals. I have difficulty understanding some of the comments made by others on this rating list. I'd give her an 'A plus' in all respects: professionalism, knowledge, competence, understanding.

Do not Recommend
I would not recommend Dr. Gracer. I found that she had poor listening skills and was condescending. She prescribed a blood pressure medicine for me via email with no follow up appointment, or contact of any kind. I explained several medical concerns, but then had to re-explain because she seemed to have not understood. She also trivialized my concerns. I've moved on to another doctor and am much more satisfied.

Not very empathetic
I went for an office visit and mentioned that it is taking two to three months to get a visit (online or office) with the system's neurologist. Her response was "Discussing that is not a productive use of my time." I was shocked. Going to her is not a productive use of my time. I changed doctors.

Great Physician
Dr. Gracer is wonderful, both re: attentiveness and knowledge. I followed her from Stanford to John Muir/UCSF. Recommended her to a friend who is a family MD herself and she was impressed enough to be willing to drive from SF to the East Bay to have her as personal physician.

Terrible doctor
This doctor has zero bedside manner. She lied to me about procedures and put up obstacles to my questions and requests. I would not go to her if she was the last doctor on earth. Sun-par.
