Dr. Sylvia Kariampuzha, MD

Dr Kariampuzah has cared for me for several years now, today was a great day as my A1C was 6.2, she recently chose to put me on a couple of meds to suppress my appetite instead of giving more insulin, it was a great call because my weight has brought my sugar levels down to a good level, between her expertise and some of my determination to try to keep my sugars down it is paying off…I was also very pleased how she complimented my efforts, I was excited about the progress and she was too! I’ve never had a doctor who had “celebrated” over my success the way that she did, she is a true professional in the medical profession and I would trust her with any medical concerns, thank you Dr Kariampuzha!!!

One of the rudest Doctors I have ever met. 1st office visit she accuses me of basically lying about taking my hyperthyroid meds, and not taking my disease seriously. Mind You, This is without any labs.

Avoid this doctor. She is not respectful or kind. Very blunt and mean. I had to fight her just to even get simple supplies like strips and sensors. She doesn't listen to patient to help customize a plan that will help them be successful. She has a her way or the highway mentality and doesn't set realistic goals. I made an agreement with her for special accommodations that she agreed to. Then later broke our agreement when I arrived. So she lied to me. I tried to supplement some Video visits during COVID and she refused. So not very accommodating and doesn't keep her promises. She even threatened to take my insulin pump away if we didn't comply. She even call me fat and mental but not in those words. I was like wow can you be anymore insulting. I dreaded my visits with her.

If there was an option to give 0 stars I would rate this doctor with that! A complete waste of time and money!

Dr. K is the most caring and trustworthy doctor I have seen in my 25 years of being a patient. You can tell that she truly cares about the well-being of every single one of her patients. She is very efficient. She gets test reports back asap and lets me know right away what the best course of action is to treat my thyroid. I can't emphasize what a joy is to be treated by the best endocrinologist in East Texas.

I was shocked to learn how less then 5 mins. With doc and 3 blood test including $$$ for drawing the blood could cost $1200. My primary doc does same test plus 4 more for $316. Oncology doc $415. Very short with me when I question her. No wonder Medicare is going broke and insurance is out the roof. My primary doc will take care of my needs from now on as he does the same blood work.

Dr. Kaiampuzha is very knowledgeable and aggressive in her treatment. She gives feedback about blood sugars very quickly. I feel very comfortable and confident in her as a physician and person.
