Keep your family safe from him!!
This doctor is clueless. I am a well seasoned nurse and was appalled at the way he talked to and lied to my family member. He then called her a liar because she told him he said something completely different the day before. He tried to rush her discharge while she was definitely not ready to go home. He needed to be told multiple times by multiple people that she has cancer and is on chemo. I had to fight to get them to cancel her discharge, and the attending agreed with me and did so. Do NOT trust this waste of space to care for you or anyone you love!

I’m a family member of a patient that Dr. Syed Shah discharged from MUSC Health in Orangeburg. The patient was not well enough to return home alone but was discharged with no regard for his safety or well being. When I explained to Dr. Shah it would put the patient in danger and he would probably have to return to MUSC Health, Dr. Shah had no regard for his safety and told me if I brought him back to MUSC Health they would refuse to admit him. Disrespectful and no compassion. One star is too high of a rating in my opinion.
