Dr. Ramakrishnan has been so wonderful at reducing my anxiety and making sure I receive the answers to all my questions. Not only is she a wonderful, knowledgeable, and skilled Doctor, her bedside manner is fantastic.

I had a fistula and nasty infection that gave me a very bad fever, and I had to go to the ER on a Friday night in tremendous pain. The Piedmont staff got me taken care of quickly, and before 4am I was scheduled for a procedure with Dr. Ramakrishnan. She was very kind regarding my issue as well as very confident she'd get it fixed, and sure enough she did! She did a terrific job and has continued to be very helpful with the recovery. Couldn't recommend her and ATL Colorectal enough!

I had something that my OBGYN was concerned about at my annual, which in turn worried me. Dr R's schedule was booked out for months, but I was in the same building so I stopped by the office and was very fortunate that Dr. R was able to squeeze me in after patiently waiting. I would have waited all day, but Dr. R. met with me, went ahead and had a look and then performed a procedure to address the issue. She relieved me of all my anxiety, and the follow up appt. confirmed it was nothing to be alarmed about. She has a great bedside manner and never makes you feel like your questions are unimportant. I have seen her several times over the past few years and she has always been a very personable, helpful doctor. I highly recommend her.

I have been suffering from hemorrhoids for years, on and off, but fi ly I decided to get rid of them.Dr.Ramakrushnan listened to everything I said, understood my concerns and acted accordingly. She did my hemorrhoids banding in less than 5 minutes in her office.Follwed up with me to make sure all is good and indeed all was good! I am very pleased to report that I had a successful outcome with Dr. Ramakrishnan and Piedmont. I had an inflamed colon and fistula that made this a little more complicated. She is very knowledgeable, methodical, thorough and a skilled surgeon.

I highly recommend Dr Rama. The surgery went very well, and she checked on me in hospital twice a day. Other physicians checked in as well. Excellent staff, especially NP. Nurses in recovery and on hospital wing excellent also. Post op appointment and extensive notes in MYCHART very informative.

I had 2 procedures. The 1st was an emergency referral from my PC. I was very unsure of the situation, but she put me at ease right away. The 2nd 1 was an out patient procedure. Again just as kind and through as in the office. I felt very safe to talk with her for such am intimate problems.

I was referred to Dr. Ramakrishnan by my GI Dr. I must say this was the best referral I have ever had. From the moment I walked into Dr. Rama’s office the staff was delightful and made you feel at ease. I needed surgery and Dr. Rama explained everything that needed to be done so that I would understand. I found her reassuring, caring, knowledgeable and most of all personable. When I had my surgery Dr. Rama visited me in the hospital twice a day and one night she called the nurses station to make sure I was resting well. This was amazing to me for her to be so concerned. She is truly a caring Dr and not many Doctors have this wonderful bedside manner. I highly recommend Dr. Rama for all colon/ rectal problems. From my first visit to my after surgery care it’s been a very positive experience. Doctor Ramakrishnan is attentive, knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. Her nurse and her PA are equally as wonderful. I had occasion to make some post operative inquiries and each time my concerns were addressed within an hour!! I feel very fortunate to have found Dr Ramakrishnan and her cheerful, attentive staff.

Dr. Ramakrishnan gave my father the best care possible. Her bedside manner, the way she explained things, personal calls to me (daughter/caregiver) and constant checking were all excellent and very appreciated. Her staff, as well, was very professional and caring, which is unusual in current times. My father's surgery, rectal prolapse repair, was a total success and we are grateful.

Dr Ramakrishnan assessed my health issue and immediately came up with a treatment plan. She diagnosed me with "fecal incontinence" (which I had not heard before from other gastroenterologists). She performed the anorectal test to determine if I needed surgery, physical therapy, change in diet or a combination of methods to address the problem. She advised me to drink a cup of hot water first thing in the morning; take Metamucil to bulk up my diet; drink 8-10 glasses of water daily; and insert a glycerin supplement 30 minutes after breakfast. This approach has worked well as I'm following this regular routine. Thanks Dr. Ramakrishnan for your kindness and professionalism in addressing what I considered, a very delicate situation. Thanks to Michelle and the receptionists out front for their courtesies and great patient services. This is a great team of professionals.

The Biggest PRAZE THE LORD AND THANK YOU FOR DR.Swetha Ramakrishnan MD. I had to go though 3 Doctors and was told that I just need to get more fiber in my diet, I did that and was still having trouble!before I was sent to Dr.Ramakrishnan and Then I had to go see Dr.Hannah and she said that she thought that I needed to see a colorectal surgeon.They got me a appointment her and ,With just a few minutes of Doctor Ramakrishnan checking me she found my Trouble ! She did surgery on me and now I am feeling so much better! I Thank the good Lord everyday for her and her team they are the best!
