Major screwup by Dr. Chalasani’s medical assistan!
My visit was great! The Dr was informative and kind……unfortunately the Dr’s medical assistant forgot to put me on the schedule as soon as she received insurance approval and I waited over 3 weeks to get a colonoscopy to find out if I have colon cancer and 2 days prior to the colonoscopy I found out that I now have to wait another 2 weeks and 1 day for the colonoscopy, because of the assistant’s screwup!!

She diagnosed and solved my very concerning low sodium issue on my initial visit and blood work by simply recommending I ask my psychiatrist to either substitute a different medication or discontinue one particular medication of the three I was taking. I chose to discontinue the particular medication. Problem easily solved thanks to her knowledge and insight. In addition my previous Primary Care doctor's P A had me see a specialist not long before I was accepted by Dr Chalasani, who recommended I solve my low sodium issue by eating lots of salty snacks and drinking only a liter of liquid daily. Needless to say I cancelled my follow up appointment with that specialist.
