I had a horrible experience with Dr. Spivak and her staff at Welcome Pediatrics. I called the office to request a health form to be filled out to enroll my daughter in her new school. Dr. Spivak was rude and before asking me any information, she objected to filling out this school form. Then, she said that I would need to make an appointment for her to check my daughter out again and look at the forms. When I asked why I needed to make an appointment for her to sign a form about a physical exam that my daughter already had, I was told because she was too busy. I felt as if I was being scammed into giving the doctor more money just for her to see a simple health form and so they could bill my insurance as well. I immediately asked for my daughter’s medical records. The receptionist called me back and said I can come pick it up and it was $.75 a page and that they only accepted cash which was ok except when I got there they had no change for me. The whole experience was outrageous!

Dr. Spivak has an archaic view of special needs and disabilities. Despite not being a diagnostician, she will randomly make assessments about a child's mental health that are uninformed and borderline offensive.

Straightforward and evidence based approach. Office accepts walk-ins and other patients never seem to come on schedule, so sometimes a short wait.

I went in for a consultation for my newborn snd dr. Spivak did not treat me nice at all I asked her if she could tell me a little bit about herself and she said just go online and you can read about me. I asked her how can we work together to make sure my son will have the best care his first year and she replied I don't understand your question. She had a really nasty attitude and it was very hard to understand her due to her accent. I honestly wouldn't let her touch my son with a l9ngstick

Dr. Spivak is the most amazing doctor I have ever had. She is knowledgeable and will explain in detail any complications or concerns you may have. I never wanted to leave her. The only reason why I had to say goodbye was because I moved to Connecticut. Her calm and caring demeanor meant the world to me and my entire family.. There are no words to express how thankful I am to her and her lovely staff. Miss you all!!!
