Late Late Late
After approximately 8+ yrs as a dedicated patient, Dr Sutherland went from being wonderful & caring to being thoughtlessly extremely late. I was left in the gown in the treatment room for 1 hour & 15 min after the tech injected me with Lidocaine, until the Dr appeared. She said that she had a patient emergency. Someone should have had the courtesy to come in to advise me. It was the most painful procedure ever as the Lidocaine was pretty well gone. Dr S blamed scheduling. Then 6 mo later I had zoom call scheduled for a new procedure & Dr S left me waiting on line for 37 min until I called in & was told that she would get to me soon. I clicked off. She left a VM blaming scheduling again. It seems that my time doesn’t matter. I have switched to a new Dr & new procedure.

Won't go back
My experience was about a year and a half ago. Finally decided to say something about it. Did not get a UW review form after my appointments. 45 minutes wait in the outer room. 45 minute wait in the exam room. Condescending, rude, no respect, good technique for exam, staff very uneasy and grouchy. No wonder. Won't go back.

My experience with Dr Sutherland was HORRIBLE. She was so rude and made me feel like my issues were all in my head. Did not listen to me AT ALL. And she continued to misdiagnose me after I had told her multiple times I did not think I had that diagnosis. I saw her at the UW Urology clinic. I ended up changing to a different doctor who actually listened to me and ran several different tests that dr Sutherland was not willing to do. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!

Dr. Sutherland is one of the worst doctors I've ever met. She works at the UWMC Urology Clinic and is always late on appointments by 1 hour for my scheduled visit and just to be seen for 10 minutes. She does not create a comfortable atmosphere for patients to ask questions. Appointments are always rushed. She does not take the time to listen to patient concerns. She has misdiagnosed and dismissed me for issues that other doctors were able to identify and treat swiftly. Staff are very rude too.
