Dr. Sorof preferred to talk down to me for 20 minutes without asking me a single question about my symptoms. She was underprepared with lab and testing results. I couldn’t get a word in edgewise. Worst interaction with a health care provider in years.

Horrible bedside manner.
First meeting with this doctor rubbed me the wrong way. Upon the second meeting my concern was proved valid. She is not very personable and just spews information. When you question her recommendation she gets defensive and short. She comes across more like a cop than a doctor. She is very brash, masculine, and talks fast. I asked the ladies at the front desk what the word on her and they said it’s hit or miss.

Never encountered a doctor with such poor communication skills and complete lack of empathy. Replaced her with another equally qualified female doctor.

A Perfect Doctor
Dr. Sorof took my mom's high blood pressure issues seriously and acted aggressively, something we couldn't get her primary doctor to do. Now her BP is perfect. Love her bedside manner too.. She's a lovely person and a great doctor.

Found Dr. Sorof at New Location!
Thank god I found Dr. Sorof, since she is no longer at CVAM. I went to her new office which is located at St. Joseph Heart and Vascular Clinic 500 W. Thomas Suite 850. It was such a relief to see her and get my heart care that I need. The front office and RN were so pleasant and friendly. Definitely not like CVAM where rudeness is all you get. Overall, experience was amazing and sigh of relief to know that my heart health is in good hands with Dr. Sorof again.

Dr. Sorof - cardiologist that cares
Dr. Sorof has been my cardiologist for over 12 years and all I can say is she has saved my life. I remember my first appointment with her and what was her first words to me when she walked into the patient room. She said “why don’t you tell me about yourself and why you are here”. Boy was that refreshing words to hear that a doctor actually wanted to listen to a patient and what they were feeling. Heart disease is huge in my family - loosing my brother at 43 hrs old, and my parents to heart disease. Not to mention cousins at a young age. So it was a wonderful feeling to finally find a cardiologist that took time to help me with my situation. Fast forward 12 years and I feel wonderful- blood pressure is good and EKG is fine. Having Dr. Sorof as my cardiologist I have a sense of freedom from worrying about my heart condition. I know if there are any problems she gets right to the root of it due to her amazing knowledge and expertise. She is a lifesaver - glad she’s my doctor.

Top Cardiologist
I had the misfortune to have had a severe cardiac issue and received care from Dr. Sorof in the hospital. I have continued my care with her for more than 5 years. She is very clear in her explanations, thorough and personable. She has taken the time to make sure I understand issues and options for treatment. I have never felt like she was in a rush or misunderstood my condition. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a cardiologist and will continue my care wherever she goes.

Caring, Knowledgable Patient Advocate Cardiologist
I was referred to Dr. Sorof by my PMC for a medical clearance for surgery. She took the time to listen to my health concerns and family history. I did not feel rushed; I felt like I was her only patient. Her communication style is direct, which I appreciate. She was very thorough and knowledgable. She personally ensured that my tests were scheduled timely. I was so confident with Dr. Sorof hat I have referred two of my friends to her.

Caring, Thorough Doctor
Dr. Sorof has been treating me for several years , keeping an eye on leaky heart valves I have and keeping my blood pressure under control . More recently, She has been treating me for leg and foot swelling. Dr Sorof is very thorough, but doesn't order needless tests as so many doctors do . She only orders tests that are necessary for diagnosis and treatment . I never feel rushed When I Have an appointment with her . She always takes the time to listen to me and treat me like a person, not just another patient.
