You're just a number
I was a patient with them for 12 years and then they announced that they were moving 'The Neurology Institute of San Antonio' to Boerne, about 30 miles away. That didn't initially seem like a big deal as we figured we'd just follow them. No, they also decided to drop carrying my major national insurance Medicare Plan, AND told me they won't even let me self-pay. In other words, 'go find another doctor, we don't care'.

I feel ripped off and completely ignored
I had ONE televisit back in March 2020. I was beginning to have terrible neurological symptoms and Dr. Gazda recommended lab work and that she would take a phased approach and slowly rule things out. After that I received a LONG list of lab work to be done all at once, which would be around 40+ vials of blood!! My ins and PCP were shocked at what was requested, had never seen anything like that. Since Dr Gazda said she wanted a phased approach I figured the lab work was a mistake. I reached out to Bianca, who never called back. Then another assistant confirmed that all of the bloodwork would be done at the same time. How can anyone afford (financially or physically) to do that?! To add insult, I had to pay $375 for the phone consult, no exam was done and I received ZERO answers or help. I sent a letter but of course received no response. It's bad enough to be in severe pain and desperate for help, but to learn the hard way it's just a money grubbing business leaves you much worse off.

I have been seeing Dr. Gazda for almost a year now. But have really only had two video visits with her in that whole time. During that time I was having multiple neurological issues that were really scaring me and my family. Over the year I had multiple tests each month some very uncomfortable. Her office does not seem to be comfortable reaching out to her when you have questions. She never explained my results to me and would talk to me without results that were completed months earlier. I never received treatment and she never gave me a diagnosis. I have now started seeing another neurologist that is very communicative and really seems to care about her patients. It is wonderful to have hope and communication. I never had that with Dr. Gazda's office.

Little to no explanations given about results of testing. Indifferent. Obviously WAY more interested in her Doctors without Borders activities than she is in her local patients. I recommend she stay where her heart is, in Africa, doing good works for them rather than using up local patient's time and money while providing indifferent assessments and care.

Dr did tests to help diagnose my daughter (K) & we went in for the results. We were told everything was negative except oh yeah, spinal tap was + so this is definitely MS. We were enrolled in a med program. Spent hrs. talking to med assist.,pharm,etc. We told family/friends who cried with us.THEN the dr called, left a MESSAGE next day that the results printed were blurry & misread and K does NOT have MS.I have a $5000 med-can't be returned.Insurance will be refunded but huge mess!UNPROFESSIONAL

Have been very happy with Dr Gazda. She has given me hope in getting my MS under control and finally get me on some kind of treatment for the MS and not just the pain.

Without reservation, I recommend Dr. Gazda. I respect her knowledge and am comforted by her obvious concern for her patience. She speaks to you professionally about your medical diagnosis, and then looks at you directly to answer your concerns. For me, she is what a doctor should be; professional, intelligent, and compassionate.
