Dr. Susheel Gundewar, MD

I appreciate the excellent results I have experienced. Dr. Gundewar was polite, informative, and calm while explaining treatment & medication. Staff was thorough but put me at ease.

Lack of professionalism….we hold doctors to high standards and this doctor did not even show basic standards. How is this doctor in charge of people’s hearts? I wouldn’t let him deliver my newspaper as I think he would mess that up.

Gundewar refused to schedule a follow-up visit for me because Avera's new computer system was malfunctioning and could not issue insurance cards. Despite having all my necessary plan information including group number and member ID, Gundewar would neither schedule the appointment nor contact Avera to verify my plan, instead informing me it was my responsibility to do so. When I called Avera as Gundewar had instructed, the woman I spoke with assured me that all Avera providers had been informed of the card-related delays and were instructed to accept patients' plan information without the card. She forwarded my information to her boss, who contacted Gundewar's office to confirm my coverage and instruct them to schedule the appointment. Instead of scheduling the appointment, Gundewar's nurse falsely accused me of using vulgarity and filing a grievance, which had caused them "big problems," and informed me that Gundewar would no longer see me as a patient. Find another doc.

I like Dr. Gundewar...I think he knows what be is doing and I am very comfortable around him. I think I get more answers from his PA maybe cause she is female??? I don't know. I would recommend him to friends.....good cardiologist office:)
