I started seeing Dr. Wallace in 2002. I'm sorry to learn that she is retired. Kaiser has an annoying practice of using psychiatrists primarily to give patients pills that only they can prescribe, so they make your psychiatrist ask all kinds of questions about possible side effects you may be having before the 2 of you can get down to the actual counseling that you really need in the limited amount of time you have together. Thus, Dr. Wallace & I got that out of the way as quickly as possible. As a compassionate, intelligent doctor who also has a wonderful sense of humor, Susan was outstanding. I had become overwhelmed by trying to assist older members of my family continually. One of them became paranoid & would blame me for things I never did. But Susan gave me plenty of support & ways to handle my folks. We became good friends & she was interested in my published poetry & helped me to see what my dreams were telling me. I'm older than her by 7 years, but I never felt "old" with her.

I was Dr. Wallace’s patient since the 1990s until she retired in December, 2017. She was extremely good and helpful to me. I miss her very much. I won’t find another doctor like her.

I was a patient of Susan's for years..maybe 12. I lost my coverage with Kaiser and no longer get to see her. I miss her so much. I've been meeting with new psychiatrists and literally no one compares.

I really didn't want to see a psychiatrist because of my past with very little help from them in the past. I only work because my therapist suggested me to try it out. She said that sometimes people need more than just therapy and if I do a combination of therapy and medication which can only be prescribed by a psychiatrist that I could probably improve on my anxiety and depression. I was relieved meeting Dr Wallace. She listened to me and asked me what I thought would help me. She listens?

Does not listen to you. Treats you like a number. Thinks she knows all the answers without even 10 minutes with you. Stay far away!
