HORRIBLE STAY CLEAR - not only bedside manner, but my father almost died due to her negligence! My dad was hospitalized with elevated troponin levels and so the hospital insisted it was his heart. He was having OBVIOUS symptoms of infection and I conveyed my concerns to Dr. Saxe and she insisted it was not an infection, but instead that I have mental health issues (said behind my back)!! The result? They sent my dad home with two LIFE THREATENING INFECTIONS that they never even tested him for because Dr. Saxe denied any chance of infection. He would have died had I not gotten him the next day to the Cleveland Clinic. Turns out he had CDIFF, parasites, and diverticulitis. Also, his heart was completely fine, never was the issue.

I saw Dr. Saxe today. I just want to start by saying her bedside manner is fantastic. She is intelligent, compassionate and genuinely listens and cares. Trust me, she let me talk and talk and talk. Never once did I feel like I lost her attention or interest. Most importantly, she was so thorough and really took the time to gather a full scope of my medical history. Like truly - every issue I’ve ever had. She explained things to me so clearly and helped alleviate all of my worries. I am so grateful to her. Also, the front desk and all of the nurses are so kind. They really bent over backwards to get me in for an appt immediately because I was so worried. I can’t say enough about the entire practice.

Initial encounter with Dr Saxe was in the hospital. She is smart and knows what she is doing. However, the office for follow ups is terrible. Recently we called because of recurring issues knowing an antibiotic was needed. Two days we called the office and did not receive a return call. Had to go to urgent care center. We won’t be returning to the office.

Poor bedside manner. Unwilling to discuss options. It’s her way or the highway.

My Mom had the great fortune to have Dr. Susan E. Saxe randomly assigned to her in the emergency room at Delray. She quickly and confidently diagnosed Mom (soon to be 81), prescribed a course of treatment and put her and my family at relative ease with a smile. I'm happy to say that Mom is almost done with treatment, well on her way to a full recovery. Dr. Saxe's reassuring manner and willingness to take a real interest in my Mother's welfare on an ongoing basis came like a breath of fresh air in a medical community where it has sadly become commonplace for Physicians to fail to return phone calls or to show some humanity to their patients. While Saxe is a great Dr., being a great Dr. is not enough! Bedside manner is a critical element and here, Dr. Saxe and her staff soar!! So, from a 'critical NY son' comes three heart-felt cheers for a job wonderfully done...Bravo! Thank you for taking 5-star care of our Mom and for being a friend!! --The Kessler Family
