She was very thorough, and explained things- listened well.

My regular provider was out on medical leave, so I chose Dr Look because her bio said 'women's health'. I just had a full hysterectomy and asked questions about dealing with menopause, the lack of estrogen, and women's health issues after 50. Her response was to check my age, give a shoulder-shrug and tell me, "You're 52. Women your age don't need estrogen." What the...? I proceeded anyway asking questions about OTC solutions because I was concerned about the risks with HRT (I'd had multiple cancer scares this year) and was met with a sigh and the comment 'OTC options aren't approved by the FDA so it's possible they could have the same cancer risk as HRT.' I felt completely dismissed and decided to just end the appointment. Surprisingly, I receive a survey for every appointment I have at Allina, yet I never received one for this visit. I think it's important for people to be able to find a provider who will listen with compassion and knowledge, and I believe reviews help in doing that.

Appears to not understand basic science concepts. Treats everything the same way, but doesn't know how certain things are transmitted. Admits that the things she's treated were probably never what she treated. Thinks the CDC and Mayo clinic websites are distributing false information.
