Dismissive, belittling and unprofessional
The first time I met her was in her office and she was very kind and seemed caring and informative. The second time I was in L&D overnight for the third time in a week due to early labor symptoms and severe anemia. After 7 hours the amazing overnight staff were able to get my contractions and pain under control. Suddenly I was woken up to her discharging me. She pointed to the monitor and loudly announced that I was “fine” waking me up. She went on to refer to my pain as simply being”uncomfortable”, suggested that I was just using L&D to get my cervix checked and when I asked about my baby’s unusually large head size on the ultrasound she completely dismissed me and said “honestly, I didn’t even read it. I saw that you have amniotic fluid and you’re fine, okay?” She also informed me to not come back anymore for the sympoms I’d been experiencing. I was mortified and felt awful. Triage called later asking me to come back in and I refused.

Truly exceptional. Listens and explains what she's doing as she does it. Answered my questions thoroughly. She is more knowledgeable about PCOS than most ob/gyns. Felt very comfortable as an lgbtq+ person.

Dr. Lareau genuinely cares for you. When I go to the office I always request her, even if it’s for a normal routine check-up, questions regarding female productive issues I may have, anything! In my experience, and I have seen many doctors in my lifetime, Dr. Lareau is the only doctor who has the best bedside manner, takes her time answering my whole heartedly (and I ask several questions!) and is so kind and sincere. She is truly a wonderful person. She made Me feel feel very calm and worry free before going into the OR when I needed a procedure done. I highly recommend Dr. Lareau!

When I had my daughter Dr. Larry was on call. Not once had I met her and she didn't even introduce herself when she came in to my room. As a patient who has no idea who you are there was no reason why she should have stepped in my room without introducing herself. Not only that but she had absolutely no compassion whatsoever for anything I was going through. I tried telling her my history and she didn't listen! I would never want her to deliver another child of mine!
