Great listener
Excellent! She is kind, compassionate and a great listener. She helped me reduce medication and explore alternatives. So grateful!

Do not put your brain in the hands of this woman
This doctor mismanage me for over two years. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and she put me on antipsychotics that made my bipolar worse. The only answers she ever had for me was to raise the dosage of the medication that was making me psychotic. These were the darkest days of my life and she wouldn’t listen to me. I began having auditory hallucinations from the medication and she still wouldn’t listen to me. I had never felt so terrible in my entire life. This caused stress on my family that is incalculable. Stay away from this doctor at all costs. She has zero connection with her patients and seems to be just cashing out before retirement. It took my new doctor ten minutes to realize I was having side effects from the medication she prescribed. Less than 24 hours after I cut the dosage in half it was like I woke from a coma. All of the darkness had lifted, all of the negative side effects had gone away. Again DO NOT LET THIS DOCTOR PUT YOUR BRAIN IN A STRAIGHT JACKET

Could be nicer to other people that work in an area of healthcare too. we have those stressful days too but don’t bring people down who are trying to help the same people you deal with. Me and my pillow had a crying sesh but I will always comeback with a smile and the will to help people as much as I can.

Have seen Dr. Hakeman for about 20 yrs. She recently remembered a gift dilemma for my Daughter who was 5 @ the time. I wanted a to give her a "keepsake" something wooden not plastic - She's now 17. This probably is not in any "chart notes" ??

Down votes are inevitable, but going so far as to put one star is just a petty emotional response = obfuscates the intended purpose of the ratings, produces an artificially skewed result and is of less than, no use to people in need of real help. Of course it takes a long time to get in! She is just one hard working Woman with an established patient base. It took me 5 months to get in, but I refused to settle for less than the best. Make an appointment with any top specialist= You will wait.

Long term patient in Bellingham , WA – Jun 07, 2018

She's very blunt and sometimes a bit judgmental, but her assessment and prescribing skills appear to be really good. It took 2 months to get in for the first appointment, though, so be prepared.

You wouldn't believe me if I shared and she is too professional = all she cares about is helping her patients, to accept my thanks and heartfelt gratitude. Smart as a whip and she will fight for her patients. She has my respect and admiration.
