Glad I quit!
I chose to leave Dr. Ahern, due to her insisting I could only chose one method of treating my type 2 diabetes, and that was her way. She sent me a message saying if I would not follow her advice, not to bother coming back! I have controlled my diabetes, without following the current big pharma view that seems to dominate her thinking. Also, I have been a diabetic for over twenty-five years, and still do not need insulin.

Instead of listening to me this doctor argued with me. It was a waste of time to see her and I wish I didn't. She was very late to the appointment and I left feeling worse about my condition than I did when I got there. She was very unprofessional and rude.

Five stars for Dr. Ahern! She has gone above and beyond for my medical care. I have seen dozens of health professionals for Hashimoto's and other health concerns, and she has been the only one who has really taken the time to understand and treat my condition. She is incredibly knowledgeable, personable, responsive, and trustworthy. I am so thankful for her advisement and expertise. My health is at its best, and I owe it all to Dr. Ahern. I will continue to go to UCLA Health because of her!
