Awful
from top to bottom, just the WORST Dr's office i've ever been to. the doctor is rude, the staff is rude (& lazy). nobody gives their name on the phone, ur put on hold for long periods of time. nobody seems the least bit concerned about getting answers to questions. & the girl who does the referrals is the absolute worst of the worst!! not only is she rude & lazy, but she's incompetent. other Dr's offices don't even want to deal with her! STAY AWAY

I have been going to Dr. Mazumdar for a couple of years now and find her to be both caring and competent. I would recommend. I appreciate that she provides detailed explanations of conditions and doesn't dumb it down. The office is a bit dated and it would be nice to have wifi since the office is a dead zone for cell data and waits can be long.

The Physician and the staff
I have been a patient of Dr. Mazumdar for over 15 years. She is very thorough, caring and answers all questions. She takes her time with her patients. Her staff are always polite and efficient and in these very trying times, it is wonderful to see the safety protocols they have ongoing in the office. Dr. Mazumdar has increased some services provided in the office, including telehealth of which I have taken advantage.

Dissapointed
My appointment was on 12/12/22. I was called three times prior telling me that my appointment was scheduled with Dr. Mazundar. I arrived early as requested and filled out the paperwork, provided my ID and my proof of insurance. I was told by office staff that I would have to make Dr Mazundar my Primary Care Physician on my insurance in order to be seen. I was also told that my appointment was with a Nurse Practitioner. I stated that I had not had to make any changes to my insurance in order to be seen by any doctor. I stated that this was my first visit and that I didn't know if I would keep the Doctor as my Primary. I asked to cancel my appt to which I was told that I would be responsible for a $150 cancellation fee. Reluctantly, I made the change on my insurance app. The change would not take effect until 1/1/23. I let the office staff know and they stated I could not be seen. They stated it was the Doctor's policy. First time experiencing this with any doctor. Very disappointing.

Prior to seeing Dr. Mazumdar I was scared by the numerous one star reviews. I wish I listening to my gut, because after seeing her now for four visits, I severely regret not trusting my instinct to not go. She has extremely poor interpersonal skills. Nothing is explained in a way that someone without a medical degree would understand and I've asked numerous follow up questions that just go unanswered. Some of her staff is kind, while others, namely the reception staff, could not be more rude, snappy, or short. I absolutely, wholeheartedly would not recommend her to anyone and highly regret ever going to her to begin with.

She needs to calm down a bit. Her own staff saids that she is very nasty to them. But my experience with her is, when she tries to talk to me like I am her kid I immediately put her on her place and also remind her that I am a patient and not a animal. I had to talk to another doctor because I gave her a warning about her behavior. Try Doctor Laura she is amazing. I believe Doctor Laura should be in charge of the place.

I have been a patient of Dr Mazumdar's for about 4 years. I have found her to an excellent physician who listens well and stays on top of my medical conditions. She is caring and thorough and willing to spend the time needed to give quality care. She has worked hard to increase the services offered at Poughkeepsie Medical Group and has made it into an excellent patient care service delivery service provider. I totally recommend this Doctor and her team.

I've been coming to this practice since May. I recommend it to anyone with diabetes, they should come here. They greatly improved my AC 1 in just a month and a half. They referred me to a great specialist for my kidneys and a urologist as well. I'm feeling 100% better. Staff is friendly and Dr. Mazumdar is very knowledgeable. Zhanat Colotti, the NP, is compassionate. This is the place to go for very good care.

On 7/26/2019, I went to see her after hospital emergency room follow up for severe lower back and left hip pain, she did thorough exam which ER Physician did not do it, she reviewed the X-rays and helped me make appointments with the help of her Care Coordinator for me with Orthopedic specialists. I have Parkinson's Disease which was diagnosed by her at an earlier stage withe her referral to Neurologist I am doing much better. She is well respected by other Physicians in the community by her personalized care.

Last year I had written a good review as Dr. Mazumdar requested. Well, there are no more good reviews from me! In the last 8-9 months the practice has went completely down hill. Yes, yes I am extremely mad. She failed to diagnose that my husband had lung cancer and now it’s stage 4 and metastatic lung cancer which has went to the brain. He went to see her a few times last year with different issues, even weight loss. Nothing never even suggested An MRI and since she was our doctor we relied on her judgement. Her office staff is horrible and not knowledgeable. There are never the same people in the office, she also tries to be the office manager as well as the doctor. She returns calls weeks later. You can never speak to her. When you are in her office she is always preoccupied. You wait forever to see the doctor and then you wait in the room for her forever. They overbook and overcharge. We were in one room they had specimens sitting on the counter. I requested my husband’s medical re

Dr. Mazumdar is a kind and patient doctor. She takes the time to sit with you and explain things in a simple, matter-of-fact way. She took excellent care of my husband when he had a life-threatening illness and I credit her for saving his life. If it weren't for her persistence in getting him tested properly, it would have been a very different outcome for him. We are forever grateful to her!

I was in there a few days ago and watched her raise her voice to this patient who was speaking very calm. She has no ethics when it comes to working in an office like this. She refuses to listen to any of her patients and is extremely unprofessional. I have never encountered someone in the medical field as disgusting as her.

She knows what she is treating, with her I could loose more than 100 pounds weight and bring my Insulin dosage to one third. She treats all her patients with passion and gives good care. I have been patient in that office for more than 30 years but in last two years after seeing her I have had very good results. I highly recommend her.

The WORST doctor I have ever been to. Didn't look at me, didn't make any contact, didn't listen to anything I had to say and gave me a nasty attitude like someone was forcing her to be there. The icing on the cake was I made an appointment with a foot doctor and needed her to phone in a referral, she refused unless I came back in (to get more money). She didn't call me back to tell me this until 2 days before my foot appointment when I called them back. Now I have to cancel my appointment
