Dr. Sumalatha Gangina, MD

Terrible terrible. While in the hospital for a uti. I asked about my antibiotics they said the dr stopped couldn't get a hold of her so they had to get another dr to give it to to me . I supposed to been discharged on a friday never happend because the paper work had expired. Had to wait till the following tuesday. Was supposed to of had a follow. No one communicated that she didnt accept my insurance in the mean time my antibiotics were finished and my midline is still im my arm as of today as no approval was given to remove it. Kim her nurse practitioner saw me in the hospital and asked me about my Covid and me pneumonia. She had the wrong patient. My Parnter had similar issues with them

Dr Gangina is kind and compassionate. I would highly recommend her to everyone.

Was in hospital and Never seen doctor only nurse. They didn’t listen at only only spoke over you. Discharged me with no known source of infection however refused to give me antibiotics even though I was on 3 of them the entire time while I stayed at hospital. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WOULD GIVE A ZERO BUT A 1 IS THE LOWEST! Find another Doctor

Never seen doctor always nurse practitioner only, they speak over you and don’t listen. They don’t reply to support services messages and needed action

After being in the hospital (AdventHealth Heart of Florida) I was instructed to make an appointment with the infectious disease doctor I saw while I was in the hospital, Dr Sumalatha Gangina. After several attempts (voice mail being full), I finally spoke with her receptionist & I requested an appointment either in person or on the phone. Her receptionist told me “she cannot accept you as a patient & to find someone else”. To say the least I was shocked about the unprofessional & unpleasant experience. I can’t believe you can have doctors working at your facility that treat patients like this. I WILL NEVER recommend this doctor.

Doctor does not listen to patient. Doctor did not release records to (2) other clinics when asked by via fax or otherwise. Infection got worse instead of better. Nothing but problems. Only got better when switched to a different doctor.

Writing this review on behalf of my relative. He got a UTI as a result of catheter use after prostate surgery. This infection has been going on for almost a month. There were lapses in his antibiotic treatment, several trips to the ER, etc. Had home aide health care, however this doctor's care was not consistent. In our opinion she does not follow through or monitor her patient very well. Also, we felt her bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. In our opinion she might be better suited for work behind the scenes in lieu of having patients. We found it necessary to contact hospital representative & hospital patient advocate in order to get him the attention and care needed. We recommend you research any Dr. assigned to you & don't hesitate in asking for someone else if you feel uncomfortable.
