Dr. Sulagna Mookherjee, MD

She was thorough and took time to listen to all my concerns. She reviewed all results that I brought from prior testing and made a plan with me to optimize my wellness plan. Changed my BP meds for better control, insisted on a cholesterol medication, encouraged a sleep apnea test and weight loss. I left the appointment quite satisfied.

This doctor was recommended by her colleague who had confirmed I did not need an invasive procedure which is controlled by medication. I was seeking a Cardiologist who would more thoughtfully manage my labile BP. Within minutes of our initial appointment, she diagnosed my BP as anxiety without asking me one question that would justify this conclusion. She did change some BP meds, but stated that I should call the nurse, not her, with any issues and clearly did not wish to be bothered to manage my BP. She also never ordered an EKG during any of the subsequent appointments which does not meet the standard of care especially since I have an arrythmia. Finally, when I again discussed my displeasure about her blaming my BP on anxiety, she became defensive, said I had trouble with doctors and tried to refer me to another doctor. Needless to say, I did not return. Don't see her unless you wish to have substandard treatment from a doctor who does not listen.

Visited post DVT/PE for heart-check. Dr. fat-shamed me & diagnosed me with multiple obesity-related conditions. On subsequent visit, Pulmonologist caught heart-murmur & sent me for echocardiogram, which showed problems with tricuspid-value & fluid around heart. Dr. Mookherjee flitting about exam-room lecturing me on diet & other issues she has no authority to speak on has delayed the proper diagnosis & treatment of multiple serious heart-conditions. I now need to follow-up with a cardiologist - it won't be this one

Dr. Mookherjee is my cardiologist. Her doctor-patient relationship is exemplary. She has diagnosed several heart issues for me and explains everything in a way I can understand. I have recommended her to several friends.

She is collaborative and works well with my primary care doctor to ensure they both have the full picture of my health care needs. I would highly recommend her and have in the past. Both of the individuals I referred were quite pleased with their care and continue to be her patients.
