Good experience
I had cataract surgery with Dr. Kansal.. Surgery went well and I can see great now. Dr. Kansal is very professional, very knowledgeable and a great doctor. He doesn't say much but he tells you what you need to know. Staff is awesome! Only downside is wait time..

He went to Lunch
He has patients waiting in his office, and he goes to lunch. My mother's appointment was at 1:00 pm. today(February 1st, 2023). It's now 3:00 and she has to wait till he comes back from lunch to be seen. I'm sorry, but you schedule your lunch, then you schedule your patients, don't leave them waiting for hours for you to come back from lunch. RIDICULOUS!

Let me break down what an appointment at this "office" is like: You show up on time for your appointment. You sit in the main waiting room for almost an hour before the nurse calls you back for a simple test. Then, you're put in a BACK waiting room for another hour and a half. Then, you go with a nurse to a literal CLOSET, not an exam room, for some more little tests. Then you're pushed into the back waiting room AGAIN for ANOTHER hour or two. Then, the "doctor" comes to see you for less than 5 minutes, he will NOT talk to you directly. He will talk to you through his nurse despite being less than a foot away from your face. No matter what you're seeing him for, you're there for more than 2 and a half hours. This is the most mismanaged, disorganized, and chaotic doctors office I have ever been in. I will NEVER recommend him to anyone. This office should be shut down. Do NOT go see this man. You will regret it.

I have a lot to say. I was referred here by my eye doctor at home. With the possibility of something being very wrong. We waited for over an hour. For an appointment Kansal said needed to be urgent. He did a bunch of tests. And didn’t describe them. He even stuck things in my eye without warning or telling me. The lady at the front desk is also plain rude. She has constantly talked to me like I’m stupid. And says she’s done things she hasn’t. After whatever is going on gets figured out. I will not be returning. And I don’t recommend anyone else does either if it’s just for an eye appointment. The reason I say that: his reviews on his procedures are great. But his reviews for plain eye appointments are not the best.

My dermatologist told me that i had cancer on my eyelid. He said i would have to go to another dermatologist who would remove it and then i would have to see another doctor to put it back together in Kansas City. I saw doctor kansal and he removed it and reconstructed it in a single surgery and the lab said doctor kansal got all of it out.

I have had glaucoma surgery 3 years ago by another doctor which never really worked for my eye pressure. I was referred to doctor kansal last year and he placed a modern glaucoma stent. There was hardly any healing time unlike my first surgery and i was able to stop all of the glaucoma drops. I would recommend doctor kansal to anyone.

I was told that removing my cataract would not help my eye sight because of retina problems. I went to see Dr kansal and he told me that it could definitely improve than where it had been. He did a great job on my cataract surgery and i see a lot better and feel comfortable driving again.

I was a patient for 13 years and saw the doctor from 2-4 times/year. Today was my last appointment...not once has he been even close to on time. Usually I wait in excess of 1 hour to see him. Today I was the first patient of the day @ 8:45. He did not even walk in the door until 10:30. HIs staff indicated that he did not have an emergency or surgery and that this is the norm. They are frustrated, too. This type of inconsideration for his patients is intolerable. I question his competency.

I was looking forward to seeing Dr. Huffman and perhaps them discussing LASIK. When I asked about acceptance of insurance the front desk said they would call the number on the card. She didn’t instead. She came back and said the Business Manager said they didn’t deal with BCBS/Portico. I left cancelling my appointment. I thought it odd so called my insurance. Had they took the time to call they may have a new patient now.

I have a tendency to get serious eye threatening infected ulcers. Dr kansal has never refused to see me the same day and always manages to bring me through these difficult periods while managing to keep my vision from falling apart. If it wasn't for him i think i would have to travel out of town every time.
